A Day in the Country

One of the perks of living on the River is all of the activities that they have down here. We've lived in North Augusta for almost 7 years, but we have never attended "A Day in the Country." This year, it was right across the River from us, so we had no other choice. This was the 23rd "A Day in the Country" show. The sound checks began on Friday. They continued on Saturday and woke us up bright and early at 7:00 am on Sunday morning. The concert started at noon on Sunday with various cover bands. Then, there was Lee Brice, Kellie Pickler, and Jason Aldean. It was a great show! We didn't actually get tickets to attend the show at the venue. Instead, we listened to the first part from our dock and ventured a little closer on the boat when Lee Brice, Kellie Pickler, and Jason Aldean came on stage. We had a great time! Even Kamdyn enjoyed herself. We were a little concerned as to how she would act, but she did great. Plus, we were only 100 yards from our dock and could leave at any time. It was sort of like a regatta or, Redneck Yacht Club, without the boat races. There were boats anchored all over the place filled with people having a good time. Next year we're going to invite some peeps down here to join in the fun with us!!

Our little Cowgirl! She loves to say, "I'm a ropin'
cowgirl." She heard this on one of her Barney DVD's.

We definitely have a country girl!

The Redneck Yacht Club :) Boats were everywhere!
