Since we celebrated Thanksgiving a little early, we were able to spend a long weekend at the lake. With all of our trips to SC, our lake trips have been scarce this season. Richard arranged a fishing trip with our realtor as soon as we arrived. They had a great fishing day! I think they said they caught around 30 fish?? Who really cares, I'm sure the number is embellished anyway. ;) The point is, they caught more than enough to keep them happy. When I went to pick Richard up at Tim's house, they had me take some photos of the ones that they actually caught. Richard loves fishing on someone else's boat from time to time.
Richard was nice enough to take the girls out on the boat while I took a nap on the back porch. He hadn't had much luck fishing that morning. But when he got lucky Kamdyn on the boat, they started catching a few. He swears that she is a lucky charm!!
We have many photos of the sunrises and sunsets because every time we are there, we are blown away by the beauty of the sky. God surely does paint the most beautiful pictures and we are blessed to see HIS beauty from our lake house porch.
No Fall trip to the lake would be complete without a fire and S'mores!
Kamdyn decided that she was going to brave the cold one early morning to go fishing with Richard. She had a great time and of course, the lucky charm, caught some fish!! When the girls spend time with Richard on the boat, it reminds me of the song, "And She Thinks We're Just Fishing." So sweet!
We watched Clemson beat the Gamecocks while we were there. But, boy, was it a close game! I swear I thought my heart was going to beat out of my chest as the final seconds ticked off the clock and we squeaked by with a W. Afterall, a Win is a Win and we definitely didn't want the Gamecocks to be the team that ruined our undefeated season When the game was over, the girls and I had some fun on the neighbors tire swing and swing!! These girls crack me up!
As the night came to an end, there were conflicts of opinion on what to watch....football or Frosty? This was the compromise!! I surely love this sweet family of mine!
