This was our 2nd year of attending the Augusta Southern Nationals boat races. We enjoyed it much more for many reasons. The weather was much cooler and we now have a group of neighborhood friends to actually hang out with at our community boat ramp. Kamdyn ran around and played ALL day with all of the other children. It was pretty much two days of all day tailgating with some trips to the pool mixed in between the food, drinks, and games. We had a great weekend! From Friday to Sunday we were entertained with the festivities. It was a great weekend!
Kamdyn got to sit in one of the boats at the boat preview on Friday night before the races at the Augusta Commons.
She was so brave! I couldn't believe that she let them close the top on her.
Catherine and Kamdyn were checking out one of the boats. Catherine is Kamdyn's favorite little friend that lives across the street from us.
I think they were plotting their next move. Little did they know that a storm was coming and we had to run quickly over to Beamie's to escape the rain and wind. We enjoyed a nice dinner with Catherine and her family.
Fast forward to Saturday....
Kamdyn was running to the community dock to join in on the fun.
I think she was contemplating drawing with sidewalk chalk.
She tried to take a nap on the hammock, but there was too much noise and commotion for napping! She didn't stay here long.
Richard was focused on his game.
Bart, Dalton, and Alan were enjoying the game, too. I think this needs to be a new addition to our Clemson tailgate this year. I kind of liked playing this game!
And, I just realized that I didn't take one single photo of the boats actually racing on the water. One boat actually flipped as soon as it started racing. It was scary, but luckily, the driver wasn't hurt.

Myrtle Beach
Richard was in New Jersey the week after Holly and Matthew's wedding. Denise, Ana Blake, Kamdyn, and I took off to the beach. We were so excited to get away for some fun, sun, and relaxation prior to school starting back. We had such a great time! I hope we can make this an annual girls summer vacation. Believe it or not, Kamdyn's first hotel stay occurred all in one week. We spent the night in the hotel during the wedding and then at Myrtle Beach. I wasn't sure how she would sleep with everyone in one room. She continues to surprise me with how well she adapts to new situations. She is such a blessing and is so easy.......well, most of the time! :)
This was our first stop after we were told that our room wasn't ready.....Friendly's. This is a diner that my friend Jessica and I used to go to in New York. I took a little trip down memory lane! :) Remember Jess? We went to the one in the Galleria Mall in White Plains.
Ana Blake and Kamdyn
Our first day on the beach.
It was a little over cast, but the sun peeked through just enough. The rest of the days were perfectly sunny all day! We couldn't have asked for better weather.
AB and Kam in front of Hard Rock Cafe at Broadway at the Beach. These are two precious girls!
Denise and I in front of Hard Rock. We enjoyed our dinner for the night even if it took 40 minutes before getting seated. Kamdyn had one little meltdown, but I quickly got her back in check.

Watching the waves roll in.
Relaxing in the sand and water.
Sitting the water collecting sand in her swim suit! :)
She was getting brave in the ocean.
Kamdyn was so AWESOME! She took her nap on this lounge chair under the umbrella each. I got some much needed relaxation time with my book and the sun!

Kamdyn and I at the Dixie Stampede.
Waking up from her nap in a good mood. How could you wake up in a bad mood when your first sight is the beach and ocean?
Self portrait!
Kam and AB
AB was so great at entertaining Kamdyn.
They were jumping the waves.
Now on to building sandcastles.
Kamdyn loved the sand.
Sweet!
Smile for me!
Here is Kamdyn's sandcastle. She even thought to put the stick in there all by herself for decoration. :)
Kamdyn was proud of her sandcastle. We need better sand castle buckets next time.
AB and Kamdyn at the seafood restaurant. YUMMY!
Kamdyn and I waiting to be seated.
Denise and Ana Blake on our last night out at the beach. BOO!

The Reception
Potter and I entering the reception. We all did cute little dances as we entered. We LOVED the song!!
Kamdyn searched high and low for Potter. She wanted him to dance with her. Notice that no one else is on the dance floor because they are finishing their dinner. Potter was such a good sport!
Around 8:30 Kamdyn started tiring out on us after a very LONG day!
She managed a few more precious smiles for the camera after smiling for the camera nearly ALL day. Her hair is a mess from dancing herself silly!
She loved dancing with her Daddy.
She managed a couple more dances.
Before deciding that she had had enough. She looked up at me and said, "Mommy, I'm so tired. I'm ready to go to bed." I took her and Mama Lucy upstairs and got Kamdyn all tucked into bed. We were so thankful for all of the help that we got from Mama Lucy and Ruthie all weekend.
While I was upstairs tucking Kamdyn into bed, Omar was catching the garter. HMMM.....will he be next??? Who's the lucky girl, Omar?
Patrick, Carly, Me, Richard.....I managed to drag Patrick onto the dance floor and Carly managed to drag Richard out there, too. Our men DO NOT like to dance!!
These two, however, are dancing machines!! :)
The Carters - Allison, Shannon, Patrick, Carly
Ruthie and Richard - such a great photo!!
Finally I have documented the entire wedding weekend. (Never mind that it took me two weeks.) Holly and Matthew are an absolutely perfect couple and we couldn't be happier for them. Richard and I are happy to have a new sister who is AWESOME!! We love you both and are thankful that all of us got to be a part of your special day!
