Making Ice Cream

Remember my mention of this cute  aggravating little ice cream maker in an earlier post.  We decided to try making chocolate ice cream one night.  Directions say to shake for 3 minutes.  Um hum!  Try 30 minutes of shaking and only a milk shake later.  It was a good workout for my arm though.  The girls thought it tasted delicious.  Needless to say, we haven't gotten this "cute" little thing out again!

After Christmas Fun!

We had several days at home before Richard had to go back to work. We had fun playing new games, putting furniture together, and playing outside on the playset!  Can you guess who was the best "FIBBER" in our game??

And, peek-a-boo to you, too!

Christmas Morning

Both Kamdyn and Karcie slept in on Christmas morning.  Per tradition, Richard slept in Kamdyn's bed on Christmas Eve night. I guess once Karcie is old enough to notice, I will be sleeping with her.  These girls were as excited as could be.  I had to rush down the stairs with the video camera and regular camera on at the same time to try to capture their expressions!  They were both so excited and didn't know what to look at or play with first.  Christmas morning with children is truly the most magical time of the year.  I loved watching their excitement as they discovered each new toy and treat.  They loved their letters from Santa!  Karcie couldn't wait to open up and play with all of her new toys.

They loved their gifts from Aunt Holly, Uncle Matthew, Vera, and Lucy.  Kamdyn got a new movie and book, The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe.  She also got a friendship bracelet maker where she makes bracelets out of thread.  She LOVED it and it is a change from the Rainbow Loom.  In fact, it took me back to my childhood.  We made the same bracelets with just our hands and a clipboard.  Now they have a fancy contraption to help with holding and making!  Karcie got a brand new Cinderella princess dress, Cinderella dress-up slippers, and a Cinderella Barbie.  She was thrilled!!

Richard was happy to finally have his whiskey glasses.  Weird, I know.  But that's what he asked for.

As the fun continued and the girls played with their toys, Richard made chocolate chip pancakes per Kamdyn's request.  They were delicious!  We stayed in our PJ's until at least noon.  It was great!  I finally was able to get both girls to sit down with me and take a few Christmas photos with Mommy.  Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year and I love spending it with my sweet little family.

Thrilled!

Good Little Girls!!

Santa sure was good to our sweet little girls this year!! Neither girls had very much on their Christmas lists.  Thankfully, Santa knew some things that were sure to put smiles on their faces Christmas morning!
