Halloween 2011

All of our neighbors with children gathered across the street at one of our neighbor's fire pit on Monday night.  We hung out and enjoyed Pizza Joint Pizza!  YUM!  Then, the kiddos and some of the parents loaded up on the trailer for a hayride around the neighborhood to collect candy.  The good thing for all of the neighbors is that they only have to open the door once.  The bad thing is that all of their candy disappears all at once, too!

We had Karcie all bundled up as we drove the golf cart down to The Newmans house.

The kids were getting on the trailer!

I guess Richard wasn't finished with his pizza when he boarded the ride!

Karcie and I hung out at the fire pit for a while until it was her bedtime.  I will never get tired of this smiley little sheep!

Those cheeks are so squeezable!!

And that toothless grin melts my heart!

Baby's First Boo!

Poor Karcie will forever be donning her big sister's clothes.....well, as long as she doesn't surpass her size/season.  Karcie is well on her way to growing out of Kamdyn's winter clothes/sizes.  She is so precious to us!  It seems like every photo has her sitting in her bumbo.  How did we ever survive without this wonderful contraption?  It wasn't even around when Kamdyn was born!

She spends a lot of time hanging out on the bar.

Kamdyn is quick to point out the WARNING label on the bottom left of the Bumbo.  She is constantly telling me, "Mom is says AVOID ELEVATED SURFACES!  The bar is elevated!"  She says this in her sassy teenager tone.

Fall Carnival at Church

Halloween just wouldn't be Halloween without our annual trip to our church's Fall Carnival.  Kamdyn enjoys playing the games (they are the same every year)!  But to her, it's like she is playing them for the first time. It's good family fun!

Little Bo Peep made all of her baskets!

Catherine and Little Bo Peep!

Gone Fishin'

The Sheep was such a good little sport throughout all of the Halloween festivities!

Kamdyn playing the cake walk.  She stopped on the number 6....guess what number they pulled out of the cauldron????

Beyond precious!

We got a delicious homemade chocolate pound cake!  Richard said it may have been the best cake he has ever eaten!  Must have been because between him and Kamdyn I only got one tiny sliver!  :)

Will put Richard in jail!  We had to use up FOUR good tickets to bail him out....should have left his behind in there!  :)

We finished the Fall Carnival with a hay ride!

Mornings with Karcie

My favorite part of the day is when Kamdyn and I go in to Karcie's room to get her up.  She gives us the most precious smiles, ooh's, and ahh's.  I am so blessed with the sweetest, most precious baby girls that God ever made!

Halloween Party #2

This is the party that our neighbors host every year.  Kamdyn had a great time playing on the playset, wrapping the parents with toilet tissue, eating, going on a ghost hunt, and busting open the pinata!  Daddy skipped out this year to enjoy a day full of football in his living room.  He had a cineplex set up in our living room.  I meant to get a pic, but forgot.

Karcie and Daddy

Karcie is such a smiley little thing!  I love catching her when she is talking and smiling.

Nothing is sweeter than this!

Don't stick your tongue out at me!

The Bumpy Pumpkin

This pumpkin almost killed Mommy!  Kamdyn insisted on a pumpkin with bumps which was fine with me.  It was fine until I realized that these bumpy pumpkins are obviously of a very different family from "normal" pumpkins.  The skin on this pumpkin was unbelievable.  I COULD NOT get a knife through it. It took me at least 30 minutes to get the top off.  My bicep is sore today from this crazy pumpkin.  After getting the top off I gave up and called in the reinforcements.  Daddy had to carve the face!  From now on there will only be normal pumpkins for carving at our house during Halloween.  ;)

It took numerous knives and NONE of them worked well at all!
Kamdyn was all smiles digging the goo out after I slaved away trying to remove the top!

Baby Karcie enjoyed watching!

All clean!

Kamdyn drew a picture to show Richard what she wanted the face to look like.  We weren't getting fancy on this pumpkin!

Halloween Party #1

Halloween is always a very busy time for us.  This year our parties fell  back-to-back from Friday to Monday night.  On Friday we ventured out to Hi Brass.  We enjoyed good food, good friends, and a good time!  Kamdyn had a great time, as usual, and Karcie was perfect!  I think she was a little in shock as she watched all of the costumes pass by her stroller.

Our precious Bo Peep and her sweet little sheep!

The sheep wasn't very amused!  :)  We were cutting in to her sleepy time!

Precious....that's all I can say!

Playing pass the pumpkin!

I think we have this exact picture for the past three years!

The winners of the costume contest.  The bumblebees got first runner up!

Our Bo Peep and Sheep one first place!!  :)

Holding her trophy!  I got tickled at Kamdyn the day after.  She said, "I don't think I would have won if Karcie had not been there.  She was the best part of our costume!"
