Halloween Overdose!

I don't ever remember being this busy as a child during Halloween. I think I went to one church carnival, did a little trick-or-treating on Halloween night, and that was it! Kamdyn was invited to 3 Halloween parties, not to mention the carnivals. Thankfully, two of the parties were in our neighborhood last night.

We actually met Flip and Ansley at Kindermusik this summer and figured out that they lived in our neighborhood. Kamdyn was excited to get the invitation to go to their house. She LOVED their playground/playhouse and was more interested in swinging on the swing than participating in the Halloween festivities. She did attempt to play the balloon game. The object was to pop everyone else's balloon before they popped yours. The kids didn't quite get the rules and started popping their own balloons. The loud pops prompted tears from most of the children. Surprisingly, Kamdyn was not one of them. She insisted on popping her balloon. I had to finally pick her up and push her down on her balloon to get it to pop. Still, no tears! After attempting to hit the pinata, she started announcing (shouting) to everyone, "I'm leaving and GOING ON A HAYRIDE!" I didn't really want them to know that we were leaving their party to go to another party. Oh well!! Leave it to a child to tell ALL!!!

Kamdyn put Daddy to work on the swing set.

Kamdyn was trying so hard to pop her balloon.

Here she is enjoying her hot dog and some veggies. The other children were amazed that she was eating carrots, tomatoes, and broccoli. One of them said, "She likes tomatoes?" just as she was popping two grape tomatoes in to her mouth! Yep, she loves her veggies!

Two families that live across the street from us were having a bonfire, lots of food, and hayrides. We dropped by their house after leaving the first. It was lots of fun, but Kamdyn was ready to go back to her house soon after our arrival. Nanny and Pop Pop were visiting and she couldn't wait to get back to see them. Thankfully for us, they were able to put her to bed, and we got to stay at the party. It turned into an "adult" party after all of the kids went to bed! It was nice to socialize with grown-ups for a change! We also got to meet a lot more people in our neighborhood.

Halloween was SUPER busy this year and I suspect that it will only get worse the older that she gets! I'm just glad I have a while to get ready for the next one!

Move Over Little Red Riding Hood......

..........now there's something cuter! Georgia brought Kamdyn home on Friday afternoon dressed in this adorable costume. She had taken Kamdyn and Jacob trick-or-treating on Friday afternoon. She had this costume at her house. Since Kamdyn looked absolutely adorable and she was already dressed, I decided that we wouldn't go through the hassle of attempting to change her into the Little Red Riding Hood costume for Halloween night. Here she is "posing" for the camera.

Lazy Mommy

Tonight I was running around doing a million things as all of us Moms do! You know, things like laundry, making lunch, watering flowers, falling over toys, attempting to clean up toys, fussing because the house is always a mess, etc. In the mean time, Richard and Kamdyn are playing in her playroom having a good 'ole time. As I'm putting yet another load of laundry in to wash, I hear Kamdyn say, "Mommy, go lay on the couch like you always do!" I started to scream to the top of my lungs because anyone who knows me well knows that I NEVER sit down! I heard a little snicker in the background. Yep, you guessed it, Richard was trying to get under my skin through Kamdyn. She, of course, thought it was hilarious! He, then, tackled me in the playroom where he and Kamdyn proceeded to cover me in kisses. How could I be aggravated after that?

Halloween Carnival

Last night we took Kamdyn to the Fall Festival at Georgia's church. Kamdyn had a great time, but was REALLY tired. We ate dinner there and then Kamdyn played a few of the games that they had for the little ones. We also went on a hayride with Mr. Matt. As tired as Kamdyn was, she still wanted to stay with Georgia when it was time to leave!

Check Georgia out! Seeing her dressed as MiMi from the Drew Carey show was definitely a treat. I couldn't believe that Kamdyn wasn't scared of her, but she wasn't! She was scared; however, of Angela the Clown!! She WOULD NOT let the scary clown paint her face. She kept saying, "I'm not a lot scared. Just a little bit scared!" Finally, towards the end, Kamdyn said, "I think I'm ready to get my face painted now!"

She overdosed on cupcakes and sweets. As a result, she cried the entire way home and all through her bath. She didn't make one peep all night long!!! She was exhausted!

Pumpkin Carving Time

Our pumpkin carvings are simple, but sweet. Kamdyn started to cry when she first saw the inside of the pumpkin. Apparently, she didn't remember what it looked like from last year even though she insisted that she did remember! What a beautiful day it was.....Life is Good in North Augusta!!

BOO Cookies!

We made these Ghost Cookies at school this week out of a Nutter Butter, white frosting, and chocolate chips for the eyes. Since our electricity was off last night due to LOTS of wind and rain and Mommy couldn't turn on the dishwasher, or wash clothes, or vacuum the floor, etc., we decided to occupy ourselves making some "dost cookies!" (pronounced the same as ghost except with a /d/ sound at the beginning.) Kamdyn wanted to know if it was a "friendly dost!" The only thing that she really was interested in was eating the frosting!

Little Red Riding Hood makes her debut......

Kamdyn was invited to a Halloween Party by one of her new little friends from dancing, Paden. Kamdyn has been so excited about going to Paden's "Happy Birthday, I mean, Halloween Party!" They had a huge blow up jumping castle, which was a hit with Kamdyn. She didn't want to come out. Even while we were trying to eat she kept saying, "I want to go back outside and jump!"

Kamdyn even enjoyed trying to break open the pinata! Check out Little Red Riding Hood in action! She lost her bow during all of the jumping! If you're wondering where the Big Bad Wolf is, Kamdyn tried to convince her Daddy to dress up as the wolf, but he declined!

Left handed hitter????

Kamdyn and Paden....I never could get them to look at me!

Can you tell that she didn't want to have her picture taken?

Not sure what kind of face this is.........
