Pinkalicious Pumpkin

Kamdyn had a book report/pumpkin project due on Halloween.  She, of course, chose Pinkalicious.  It has been her favorite book since she was 18 months old.  We painted the pumpkin pink, added some yarn hair, a crown, and a Mommy-made pink tu-tu.  She presented her pumpkin along with her book and book report.  I didn't get across the hall to see this presentation, but her teacher was kind enough to send me a few photos!

Halloween in RiverNorth

Our neighbors are always so kind to invite all of the neighbors and children over to their firepit for pizza, snacks, drinks, and fun each Halloween.  After we socialize and eat, the children load up on the hayride and trick-or-treat through the neighborhood.  Since it was so cold this year, Karcie and I rushed home so that they could make a trick-or-treat stop at our house!  When the children ran up our front steps it seriously sounded like the house was falling in.  Karcie couldn't understand why she couldn't leave with them.  She cracked me up the entire night when she saw someone with a mask or with their face painted.  She would look at them, give them angry eyebrows, and shake her head "no" frantically!  We certainly are  blessed with great neighborhood friends!

LFH School Carnival

We were finally able to attend our school carnival this year.  For the past three years it has fallen on a Clemson home game weekend.  Kamdyn had a ball.  Even Karcie went along for the ride.  By ride, I mean that she had to stay contained in her stroller for the event.  I NEVER would have been able to keep up with her!

Kamdyn and Emory Kate, one of my precious Kindergarteners this year!

Kamdyn and EK playing horseshoes.

They had tons of slides and jumpy castles.

Kamdyn and her friend Emma Kate a.k.a. VEGAS!  WE love her and her BIG personality!

Another RiverNorth Halloween Pary

Another neighbor has a big Halloween party for the kids each year.  Kamdyn LOVES it!  Karce attempted to jump right in and participate.  She was knocked down once by one of the older boys. Mostly, she enjoyed eating and drinking!

Catherine and Kamdyn

WE tried to get one with Karcie, but she wouldn't be still for even a second.

The Princess and the Pea!

This was such a cute game.

Wrapping the adults with toilet paper! Richard always helps and our team has won each year.  :)

Karcie discovered that she likes to bite into whole apples.

She refused to put it down!

Kamdyn decorated cupcakes.

Karcie ate and drank and people watched!

Blizzard Project

Recently, Kamdyn's class was learning about different types of weather.  Kamdyn had to complete a project about a blizzard.  The directions said to research it and present it on anything as simple as a piece of poster board or construction paper.  Well, I gave the project directions to Richard and he decided that the project needed to be animated.  We came home to a pink painted box, a few cotton balls suspended by string, and a fan attached to the side.  We had an over the top project, but it was awesome!  Kamdyn decorated the back of the box with a house and a tree. We then made paper snowflakes to attach blizzard facts around the box.  Her classmates were amazed at her project and so was I!  Check out the video of her presentation.  So sweet! We are very proud of our big girl!

VA Tech Football Game

The VA Tech game was our biggest tailgate.  We got to hang out with lots of Clemson pals.  Many of them we don't get to see nearly enough!  Let's not forget that I dropped my IPhone into the toilet.  YUCK!!  It was traumatic for me.  Fortunately, Tiger Town Tavern hooked me up with a cup of rice and my cell phone was resurrected 3 shorts days later!  Halleujah!!  Oh, and GO TIGERS!!

My friend, Betsy, was in town from Virginia!

Our favorite former Clemson Tiger visited!  Kamdyn has loved him since she was a baby!  He's a big teddy bear!

Ruthie was trying to convince Vera that she shouldn't be afraid of Jason (Hollywood).

Finally, he just picked her up anyway!

We watched the game at Tiger Town Tavern.  Love these girls!

Holly, my favorite sister-in-law!  :)

We also ran into one of my dear Clemson friends, Amy!  It was so great to see her and her boy!

Mama Lucy and Cousin Time!

After our time at the Pumpkin Patch we made our way to Mama Lucy's house for a football weekend.  Kamdyn and Karcie played outside while we waited for The Florida Terrys to arrive.  You can tell they are used to the warm Florida weather.  Vera has bare legs!    The girls had a little bit of play time before dinner and bedtime.  Notice that everyone has their own mobile device.  Vera loved Kamdyn from the get-go, but the jury is still out on her love for Karcie.  :)  We wish that we got to see little Ve-Ve more, but we will settle for the time that we do have with her.  You can tell how much Mama Lucy enjoyed having all three of her great grands in one room!

Karcie wants to know what's going on!

Our happy little Karcie who loves to be outside!

My beautiful Kamdyn without her front teeth.  LOVE!

The Pumpkin Patch

We took the girls to a local church pumpkin patch as we were on our way to the Upstate for a football game.  Karcie had a great time.  It was kind of funny because she looked for the tiniest pumpkins!
