More Fun at Nanny's

I am way behind with my posts.  I hope to get caught up soon.  We have been super busy since we got back from Nanny's house a few weeks ago.  Here are a few more photos before we left Nanny's.

Kamdyn in her Gingerbread apron and her beautiful make-up!  LOVE the eyeshadow.  She tells me that she can't keep one eye closed and one eye open to see her eyelids so she has to put it on her forehead!  :)

Karcie got a new jungle gym which she was not the least interested in!  We will try this again later!

Thinking about what to do!

She decided to cry!

Kamdyn playing this old computer with her Tinkerbell slippers on while we made a quick visit to Aunt Brenda's house.

Aunt Brenda with our pretty girls!

Karcie got in the bed with me every morning while we were at Nanny's for one last morning nap!  She is such a good sleeper at night!

Bye-bye Nanny!  See you next time!

Swamp People

We have become fond of the show Swamp People.  We get tickled at the dialects of the people on that show.  Richard is a pro at saying "Shoot 'em, Lizabeth!"  It cracks me up!  I love imitating how the people say, "Alli-geh-ta."  At any rate, it was kind of exciting around our house the other night when I looked out our bedroom window while nursing Karcie and saw this "alli-geh-ta."  Richard ran out the door to check him out.  It was really close to our dock.  It was about a 4 foot alligator.  YIKES!

We see you!

As soon as Richard walked on our dock the alligator started going under water and swimming away!

Look Who's Taking a Bottle

Karcie took to a bottle like a pro!  I have nursed her exclusively for 32 days every 2-3 hours for the most part.  In order for us to be able to be away from each other for more than a few hours, Karcie had to be able to take a bottle.  I pumped today for the first time with a double electric pump that was so quick and easy!  Surprisingly, I pumped 6 ounces!  When nursing you always wonder how much the baby is actually getting.  I never thought in a million years that she would drink all 6 ounces, but she did and she loved it!  No wonder she is chunking up so quickly!  This baby likes to EAT!!  WAY TO GO, Karcie!

"Old" Friends

Every summer I try to get together with two of my friends from high school - Angie and Michelle.  I hate to call them "old" friends because we are certainly not old, but they are long time friends.  It is always nice to see friends that I don't get to see very often and feel right at home with them.  We have multipled since our last get together last summer.....there are three more babies!

Karcie and Macie (Angie's baby is two weeks OLDER than Karcie).  Karcie looks like a three month old compared to sweet Macie!

Karcie, Macie, and sweet Blythe (9 months).  Angie and Kevin adopted Blythe and found out they were pregnant with Macie just a week before they brought Blythe home.  Both girls are precious!

Cullen, Kamdyn, and Warren.  Cullen and Warren are Michelle's two boys.  They are the cutest little boys!  Warren and Kamdyn had fun playing Clemson football player and cheerleader.  They both decided that they wanted to play together again some day soon!

I don't know how we managed to be able to get all of them still for one photo, but we did!  All EIGHT of our sweet babies!  So hard for me to believe!!

This was Take 2 and Blythe was ready to eat and take a nap.  Eli (Angie's 6 year old) was doing his best to keep her happy!  Pete is Angie's 22 month old and is on the left of Baby Macie.  Angie has four precious children and must have nerves of steel!  :)  She is great with them!

Karcie's First Road Trip

Kamdyn, Karcie, and I hit the road this past Sunday to head to Nanny and Pop Pop's house.  I was a little nervous as to how Karcie would do with a two hour drive, but she slept the entire ride.  It was so pleasant for me.  Kamdyn watched Tangled on her DVD player and Karcie slept.  I had two hours of peace listening to MY music,  which is a rare occasion these days!  I loved it!  We have adapted much easier and much quicker with Karcie than we did with Kamdyn.  We didn't take Kamdyn out of the house until she was over two months old.  Karcie has been to Target, Wal-Mart, Chick-fil-A, Cracker Barrel, and P.F. Chang's.  She was GREAT in all places and didn't make a peep!

Karcie "talking" to Nanny!

Our sweet baby girl!

Kamdyn loves coming to Nanny's because she gets to to whatever she wants to do.  Her favorite thing to do is make craft projects and put on her pretend make-up!  We are having a great time and I am sure there will be more to post before we get back home.

Happy 35th to Daddy!

Richard turned 35 on Saturday!  He asked for a new BB gun.  Kamdyn was happy to give him is gun and his cards.  We hope he enjoyed his birthday with us and the rest of our family!  He sure is special to all of us!

Daddy asked for a birthday kiss from his sweet big girl!

Kamdyn insisted on reading his cards to him.

PRECIOUS!

Weekend Family Visit

This past weekend Ruthie, Mama Lucy, Matthew, and Vera came to visit us in North Augusta.  We were so excited to have them!  At times our house resembled a 3-ring circus or maybe even a zoo.  With two babies and a 5 year old, the grown-ups had to be on their toes!  It's hard to believe that two babies can keep so many adults B-U-S-Y!  We had a great time and can't wait to do it again really soon!

Sweet Vera and Uncle Matthew

Karcie tried out Vera's swing and she still didn't like the left to right swinging motion.

Mama Lucy getting some LOVE from Karcie.

Kamdyn was singing again!

This view kind of cracks me up.....Ruthie and Mama Lucy are surrounded by the "grands" while both Daddy's take a break on the couch!  :)

Vera hung out in Karcie's room a lot!  Vera is so proud of herself for being able to sit up!  She was such a good girl during her visit.  Her squeal, smile, and laugh are too precious to describe.  I wish I had it on video!

Vera looks JUST like Matthew!

Mama Lucy with our two "K" babies!

Sweet Vera before they were leaving!

Kamdyn really didn'tw want Vera to leave.  She enjoyed playing with Vera!  It was good to see how well Kamdyn did with a 7 month old.  She is going to be so great at entertaining Karcie when she gets a little older.  Kamdyn tries to entertain her now, but Karcie is still just a little bit too small to appreciate it!

Our precious girl with her BIG beautiful eyes and perfect little mouth!

Bible School - "Shake It Up"

Kamdyn had Bible School at our church last week.  The theme was "Shake It Up."  Kamdyn had such a great time.  A lot of her friends from her class were in her Bible School class, too.  Here are a few blurry pictures of our big girl who kept moving around on stage!

Singing her little heart out!

Karcie, Vera, Uncle Matthew, Georgia, and I were all there to watch the performance of Bible School!  Kamdyn loves her baby sister and baby cousin!

One Month Old

It is hard to believe that this sweet little stinker is already one month old!  She is such a joy and she definitely keeps us busy.  We love her dearly!

Sweet little face!

She decided that she likes being on her tummy!

Look how long she is!

Look at those cute little chunky thighs that she is already getting!

Her little fanny in her polka dot skirt!

Guitar Pickin' and Singin'

I could watch this ALL day!  Richard plays the guitar very sporadically.  In fact, he does it so little he has to really practice when he decides to learn a song.  The past few weeks I have heard "Colder Weather" by Zac Brown Band and "Southern State of Mind" by Darius Rucker at least a million times.  Kamdyn has joined in on the fun because she enjoys performing.  In fact, as I type she is on the laundry basket turned upside down, brush as microphone, and she is singing the guitar music to "Colder Weather."  :)  Check out their "concert" last night.  Kamdyn likes to sing to her own tempo and her own way even when Richard tries to help her.  You can see the two of them as their opinions differ on the video.

Happy Father's Day

We didn't do much for Father's Day except enjoy a nice day at home. We gave Richard a Guy Harvey fishing shirt...orange with purple fish on it and some special cards. He kept Karcie for a little while so that Kamdyn and I could go to the pool. He is awesome and we love him so very much!!

My sweeties!  Karcie was napping and we dare not wake her!!  :)

Kamdyn Swimming

Kamdyn is finally swimming a little bit without her swimmies.  We still haven't taken her to swimming lessons....bad, I know!  We were kind of hoping that she would just learn on her own knowing how determined she is to be able to do things.  She swims across the pool in the shallow end, but will not swim underwater yet.  We will have to keep working on that!  She will swim in the deep end with swimmies and will jump off the diving board with swimmies.  She's just not ready for the deep end without some help!  Here is a video of her swimming across the pool. I was so proud of her!  This was my first visit to the pool this year.  Richard has been working with Kamdyn to get her to swim.  They have made awesome progress!

Loving Karcie

Daddy and Karcie napping one evening after Richard got home from work.

Kamdyn loves to "hold" Karcie.  I love this one!   Kamdyn is cheesin' and Karcie is screaming!

Now Kamdyn decides to be silly!

Where's your crazy face?

Oh, there it is again!  We've got ourselves two sassy little girls!

Karcie's First Bath

Since Karcie's cord fell off, we were able to give her a real bath actually submerged in water.  Surprisingly, she really enjoys bath time.  She goes in complete relax mode when I put her in the baby tub and she feels the warm water on her skin.  Most babies scream their heads off.  I am happy that this relaxes her!  I love the way a baby smells after a bath and I love Johnson's Baby Lotion!  :)

Getting ready for bath!

Big Sister was watching making sure I was doing everything right!

So sweet how Karcie is looking up at me with those big trusting eyes!

It's hard getting all of those baby rolls clean!

YAY for bath time!!
