Library with Campbell

Karcie invited Campbell to go to story time with us a few weeks ago.  These sweet girls had a great time.  The Letter of the Day was "K," the story time theme was kites, and the girls got to take home a paper kite.  Super sweet friends!!

Story time and Hanging Out!

Kamdyn tracked back in on Monday.  Wouldn't you know that her first day back in they would be released 2.5 hours early for pending bad weather.  Monday is our library day and we weren't missing it.  As soon as Kamdyn got off the bus, we headed to the library.  There weren't many brave folks there that day, but we certainly enjoyed it.  The girls especially enjoyed checking out new books for the week!

This made my heart melt when Karcie sat in  Kamdyn's lap!!

And this is what happened after the library!!

More Valentine candy and more silliness!!

Storytime at the Library

A friend of ours coordinated a group of us to go to the library for Toddler Story time week before last.  They just started back up for the season.  I don't know what I expected, but this was WAY better.  The lady did a great job.  I'm kind of critical when it comes to entertaining small children since I did it for so many years.  This lady was great!  She was enthusiastic.  She didn't stay on one task very long at all and she used a lot of props!  Karcie loved it and we can't wait to go back again this week.  We were happy that Kamdyn got to join us.  When story time was over, Karcie and I read books and chose one to take home.  Kamdyn looked around for books of her own to check out.  Kamdyn was very excited to get her very own library card.

Introducing the Public Library

Since it's summer time and I'm playing "stay-at-home mommy" (which I seem to love more and more with each passing summer)I keep looking for lots of fun things to do with my little sweetie that I don't really have time for during the school year. However, here lately I've been on the search for some free things for fear that my husband may put our bank account on lock down. I mean, what do you do when you are home for the summer? I do what I love most......SHOP and have lunch with friends!! Luckily, I found a few free things to do with Kamdyn....storytime at our local North Augusta library, storytime at Barnes and Noble, free workshops at Lowe's, swimming at our neighbor's pool, etc.

Kamdyn really enjoyed the library most probably because she LOVES books! She was loving that she got to pick whatever books she wanted. I explained to her that we were just borrowing them and would trade them for more books next time! I hope that she REALLY understands this concept. We'll find out soon enough, I guess! I just hope that she always keeps her love of books and reading! I was certainly blessed with a Mom who loves books and who always took me to the library on a weekly basis. I still love to read and I am always in the process of reading a book. I hope that I have passed this on to Kamdyn!

Storytime.....she is such a great listener!

I got my own library card!

Please can we go home Mom? The sun is in my eyes!
