Our Last Lake Hurrah Before School!

We spent almost the entire week before school at the lake.  We were so sad to see Summer leave.  We will still be at the lake on the weekends, but this was our last extended stay!

Uncle Matthew was coming to visit for the weekend so it was like Christmas around our house!  We couldn't wait for him to arrive at the lake.  We hope his three girls will get to come with him the next time!

As Uncle Matthew was leaving to go to the airport, Georgia arrived.  It was almost more excitement than these girls could handle!

We drove to Clarksville for gas, a few groceries, and an ice cream treat!  Yummy!

Smoothie Popsicles

Ruthie gave Karcie these fabulous silicone Popsicle molds for her birthday.  We just got around to trying them out.  I made smoothies and we poured them into the molds.  Karcie loved them.  Kamdyn did not.  We will have to try a different mix next time for Kamdyn.

YUMMY Tomatoes!!

I have no idea how we have managed to have such great veggies from our garden with Richard gone every week and my "memory" for watering the garden.  BUT, the tomatoes and peppers have been plentiful and delicious!  The Terrys love a good 'mater sandwich.  Richard made a wonderfully, delicious tomato pie last weekend.  I can't believe we've never made one of those before.  Sadly, this tomato season will be coming to an end soon.  For that matter, summer is coming to an end.  Where did it go?  It went entirely too quickly for us!

Pool Time with My Tiny Girl!

Karcie and I have really been soaking up the sun and pool in the afternoons after Jazzercise.  We take our lunch up there and hang out until it's time for Karcie's nap.  Sometimes we even go back when big sister gets home from school!  We sure are glad that our neighborhood has a pool!!

Sprinkler Fun!

The girls wanted to go to the pool the other  day, but we only had a few minutes before lunch and Karcie's nap.  In lieu of the pool, we watered the grass and played in the sprinkler.  :)  Karcie wasn't so sure of it at first, but quickly caught on.  They were both so cute.  There nothing like the pure joy on a child's face when enjoying the simple things in life.  I loved watching their personalities!  Ready or not, summer is HERE!

Busy May

I just knew that May would be be a less busy month since I'm no longer working!! WRONG! Posts this month have been few and far between and I have tons to catch up on. It will get done eventually! But for now, I've got to get to the pool or lake or something much more fun than blogging!!

Yay for summertime even though Kamdyns still in school. :( So glad she loves it! 6 more weeks and my baby will be in 2nd grade!!

Pool Party

Our neighbor loves a good pool party which is great because we do, too. Only problem is that we don't have a pool.

We loaded up the golf cart to travel across the street! We had to take the stroller, the pack n play, and the baby pool. I was tired by the time we got there! :)  Karcie did great though!

We had a fabulous time with lots of good entertainment! The highlight was watching Richard and Bart pour boiling water on the pool liner with a ladle in order to stretch the liner and put it back in place. One word- FUNNY!

Kamdyn and Kate decided to be brave with Grace's dog, Zoe.  Neither of them love dogs, but this one seemed to steal their hearts.  :)

Lake Day

We love anything that has to do with boats, water, sun, and sand. Today, the girls and I loaded up the Pathfinder and headed to the lake to meet Richard after his morning of fishing!

Karcie played in her baby pool and had a picnic lunch. Despite being exhausted, it took her 4 hours to finally give in and take a nap! She's not one for missing out!

Kamdyn played all day! She and Richard had a dance party while skipping rocks. Yep, funnier than you can even imagine! She told her Daddy to "stick to skipping rocks" Ha! Ha! He was also singing and she told him to "stop because his singing could make an elephant faint!"

I love these days! Blogging from the lake and loving my family. I could be home organizing closets and drawers, but why? This is so much better!

First Pool Day

We had our first pool day during one of the fabulous weather days in April.  The pool was not fooled!  The water was icy cold, but it didn't stop Kamdyn.  Karcie got a new pool float from the Easter Bunny.  Unfortunately, she would NOT say in the float.  She almost flipped the float over in a desperate attempt to get out and swim by herself.  Needless to say, Karcie didn't get to stay in the pool very long.  She is our dare devil.  She jumps right into everything and has no fear!  YIKES!!  The girls looked so sweet in their matching swimsuits.  :)

So much for this contraption!!  UGH!!
