As cliche as it may sound, it seems as if I blinked and this sweet Karcie girl was 6 months old! She is such a beautiful, sweet, and feisty little angel. We are discovering more and more of her personality with each new day. She is sitting up unassisted now! She does tend to get lazy and fall back on the nearest pillow! She is content with being a baby and I am so happy for that. I can wait for each new stage because I want to cherish the stage that she is in right now!
Our not so little baby weighed in at 18 lbs., 6.6 oz at her last doctor's appointment and she is 27.75 inches long! Nope, we don't have a tiny petite little baby! She is 97th percentile for length and 90th percentile for weight. That's okay though.....there is so much of her to love! I could squeeze those cheeks and thighs right off of her.
She continues to love her pacifiers! We call it her pappy! In fact, we put SEVERAL of them around her in her bed at night in hopes of her being able to locate one and fall back asleep without Mommy and/or Daddy's help. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't!
Speaking of sleep, she sleeps through the night when she feels like it. It is so sporadic though which is tough for Mommy and Daddy. She is no longer nursing (Praise God....I made it 6 1/2 months!) so I am able to get some help from Richard now. She will go an entire week sleeping 12 hours and the next week she will be up at least once a night. No rhyme or reason and that's okay! Even though I go to work sleep deprived on a lot of days, I enjoy every peaceful second I get rocking her at night when things are still, quiet, and calm! She smiles at me even at night and it tugs at my heart!
She will eat ANYTHING as is obvious by her weight and length. She is eating Stage 2 baby foods and we were told by Dr. Foushee that we could start Stage 3 foods along with Cheerios, puffs, etc. I tried a Mum Mum the other day. She didn't care for it! The directions say that they do not make a mess at all. Leave it to Karcie to have it torn up ALL. OVER. THE. PLACE! Have I mentioned that as sweet as she is, it seems that she may be our little quiet, but mischievous one! I LOVE IT! By the way, I stopped nursing because she just wasn't interested. She is so busy! It was torture trying to get her to eat because she wanted to look around at everything! AND, she has two little teeth coming in on the bottom. Kamdyn didn't have any teeth until she turned 1. Karcie's hair and teeth are growing, growing, growing!! It seems that her hair will be dark. YaY! A blue eyed, dark haired baby to go with my blond hair, blue/green eyed baby!
Karcie girl - you are my sweet newest angel and I couldn't be happier to be your Mommy! You make me smile bigger every single day!
