YIKES!!!

Karcie and I were having a nice relaxing lunch on our back screened porch last week.  Afterwards, I was going to let Karcie play on her play set while I spray painted an Easter decoration for our door.  Well, let's just say that our backyard time came to a halt when we saw this GINORMOUS snake!!  I almost stepped on the crazy thing as I got to the bottom of our steps.  Luckily, I heard it shaking it's tail before I stepped down.  I freaked out!  We ran inside and out the front door to Colleen's house....our neighbor.  The silly snake watched us around the corner of our house for a while.  We tried desperately to find a neighbor who would come and remove it from my yard before it disappeared.  I needed to see it gone....dead or alive....I didn't care, I just wanted it out of my yard.  Sadly, no one could come over and catch it before it got away.  I am skittish every time I go in the backyard now.

While we were at Colleen's house, Karcie and Campbell didn't miss a good opportunity to play.  They hid some Easter Eggs and enjoyed a yummy ice cream cone from Colleen.  Karcie told Campbell, "Your Mommy make the best ice team (cream) cones eber (ever)."    It was so cute!

I finally decided to suck it up and go back into my house despite the snake that was lurking in my yard.  I swear he is staring out me every time I walk out into the yard!!  Go away, big ugly snake!!

Swamp People

We have become fond of the show Swamp People.  We get tickled at the dialects of the people on that show.  Richard is a pro at saying "Shoot 'em, Lizabeth!"  It cracks me up!  I love imitating how the people say, "Alli-geh-ta."  At any rate, it was kind of exciting around our house the other night when I looked out our bedroom window while nursing Karcie and saw this "alli-geh-ta."  Richard ran out the door to check him out.  It was really close to our dock.  It was about a 4 foot alligator.  YIKES!

We see you!

As soon as Richard walked on our dock the alligator started going under water and swimming away!

Attack of the Wild Animals!

This is the day for crazy animals to be at our house!  When I came home from dropping Kamdyn off at school a 4 foot snake was inside my garage spread out across where I park.  I tried to run over it, but he slithered off into the "junk" in our garage.  Richard is going to try to get it when he gets home from work.  Until then, my car is outside and I don't see me moving it back inside the garage until I see proof that the snake is GONE!  I am sure that snake was there this morning when Kamdyn and I went downstairs to get in the car.  The question is WHERE WAS HE?  We were probably inches from it and didn't even know it!  YIKES!!

Later this afternoon, I was walking upstairs inside our house and noticed this rather large turtle in our front yard.  I ran outside before he got into the road.  Kamdyn surprised me again and wasn't scared.  She asked me if she could touch it!  I said, "No," because I didn't know if it would bite her???  What is going on?  Why are all of these animals occupying my space all in one day? GO AWAY!!

I guess we scared the turtle to death because he decided that he needed to empty his bladder!

Then, it turned around and went back into our yard into the bushes in front of our front steps!  Great!
