Story time and Hanging Out!

Kamdyn tracked back in on Monday.  Wouldn't you know that her first day back in they would be released 2.5 hours early for pending bad weather.  Monday is our library day and we weren't missing it.  As soon as Kamdyn got off the bus, we headed to the library.  There weren't many brave folks there that day, but we certainly enjoyed it.  The girls especially enjoyed checking out new books for the week!

This made my heart melt when Karcie sat in  Kamdyn's lap!!

And this is what happened after the library!!

More Valentine candy and more silliness!!

Valentine's Day with my Sweetest Three!!

Valentine's Day was spent at home this year.  We enjoyed our time with each other.  These sweet girls received two big red tubs of Valentine's treats in the mail from Georgia!!  They were so excited!!

They woke up to their doors being barricaded with pink streamers.  Karcie just climbed under.  They really didn't say much about it.  I thought they would have loved this!!

I made a heart out of post-its for Richard on his mirror with special adjectives about him!

The girls each painted a canvas for Richard.  We plan to hang them some place at the lake house.  I bought Richard a brand new bottle of Bulleit Bourbon.  He was H-A-P-P-Y!!  He liked it better than the sticky note heart.

I got a FitBit and special cards from Richard and my girls.

I am so thankful for my three sweet Valentines!!

Karcie and I worked hard on this!!  ;)

Kamdyn really worked hard on her anchor and stripes!!

We finally had our semi-heart shapes cinnamon rolls on one of our snow days!!

Valentine's Day Basketball Game

We had a 9:00 game on Valentine's morning.  We played the toughest team in our age group.  The girls worked so hard to win.  Sadly, we came up short.  Actually a good bit short.  They have learned so much this year.  Coach Chad and Richard have been wonderful for them.  We only have three games left.  I will be sad for the season to be over!!  Kamdyn will move up to the next age group next year.  I am hoping that Richard and I can coach her team.  I think that would be fun!!

Richard coaching up our two point guards as to how to play defense on their best player.

Their best player looks like she's been playing basketball since she was age ZERO!!

These two did great defending her though!!  Way to go, Elizabeth and Lauren!!

Coach Chad was busy coaching up the rest of the troops!

Valentine's Day at Preschool

Karcie missed Valentine's Day at her Preschool last year.  So she was super excited about it this year!!

We made some "BEARY" cute Valentine's for her classmates.  She put the teddy grahams in the bags with Kamdyn's assistance.  Then, she wrote her name 16 TIMES!!  You can imagine how much patience and time that took.  I was proud of her though.  She did it!!  All 16 times.  By herself!

She was tickled to share all of her Valentine's cards and candy with us when she got home.  She went through her bag and told us what everyone gave her.  Jacob brought her a special Frozen Valentine.  That was so sweet of him!!

I love this precious smile!!

This was how many photos I had to take to get ONE!!  ;)

Home with Mommy!

These are some of my favorite times.  Days when we are at home.  Spending time together.

Karcie working on her letters!!  She knows all of the ones in front of her!!  Whoop!  Whoop!!  We are getting there......finally!!

Kamdyn has always loved the Food Network and has always wanted to be a baker.   I was making taco soup for dinner.  It's super easy!!  I taught her how to open cans.  While I was browning the meat, she was doing the rest!!

Great Wolf Lodge

We made our way to GWL after The American Girl store.  Boy, was it crowded.  A lot of people were leaving, but a lot were also checking in.  I was worried that they wouldn't have a room ready for us and that we would have to carry our luggage into the changing rooms so we could get the most out of the water park on that first day.  Luckily, they had ONE more room that was ready!!  Yahoo!!  We checked in, put on our swimsuits and hit the slides.  I didn't take any photos on the first day.  We were in too much of a hurry!!

We came back to our room around 6:00.  I got the girls and myself showered and dressed while Richard left to get us dinner.  By the time we ate, it was time to head downstairs to the clock tower for story time.  We were kind of late and had to sit in the back.  The girls didn't seem to mind though.

After story time, we headed to the arcade.  We played a few of the games until it was clear that Karcie was running out of steam.  She was tired.  Heck, we were all tired!!

Day 2 was full of water slide fun.  Kamdyn even got up the nerve to ride the "treacherous" Howling Tornado.  She rode it twice.  I was so proud of her for facing her fear.  She wanted to do it so badly, but was so nervous.  She was proud of herself after she did it!  Richard and I rode the Howling Tornado several times.  We made the girls sit in a lounge chair and promise not to move.  The lines were super short so they didn't have to sit for long at all.

It was a short family trip, but we all truly enjoyed the time away and the time together.  Memories make this life even sweeter!

Sweet sisters running down the hall in their PJ's.

Carrying her baby doll!

Happy as can be!

I love that Kamdyn still gets excited about these events, too!

Karcie was scared last year, but not this year!!  She jumped right up there to have her picture taken!

This was her favorite place to be!!

Karcie and Kam leaving the wave pool.

She gets braver each year.

I love that she wanted to try everything!

She made it all the way across multiple times and little sister waited for her!

Swimming in the pool.

Handstand!!

Karcie wasn't feeling very adventurous this year.

She did a lot of watching!

Kamdyn entertained herself the entire time!

I was amazed when she walked right under the HUGE water bucket!!  She didn't even tell me what she was going to do!!

But this happened!

Then this happened!

And THIS!!  That's a lot of water!!

Daddy with his sweet girls!

A sweet man beside us offered to take a family photo.

What's worse than wearing a swimsuit?  Wearing at swimsuit in the middle of the WINTER!!

Taking a break with my little girl!

She loved to sit in the lounge chair wrapped up with her drink and snack in hand.
