We got Boo'd!! (And a Playdate!)

After dance, we picked up one of Kamdyn's friends, Abigail, for a playdate.  When we got to our house, we had been Boo'd.  Karcie was so excited!  She tore into the basket immediately!  Being Boo'd one day before we left to go out-of-town meant that we had to rush to get two baskets together to give to two other neighbors.  That was fun!  We certainly LOVE being in this neighborhood and all of the neighborhood fun that goes with it.

Kamdyn had a super time during her playdate.  These girls played all afternoon!

Karcie's Friends

One day after school Karcie and I met two of her friends and their sweet Moms at Chick-fil-A.  I tried my best to get a photo of all three of them, but it just wasn't happening.  We met these two precious girls at a dance class at Apex Community Center last year.  They are now going to preschool together at Apex Baptist.  Karcie and Jillian are in the same class.  We were sad that Logan didn't get in their class, too.  :(  I hope these girls stay friends for a long time.  Logan's Mom just had another little girl and Jillian's Mom is due in April with their second baby.  Let's just say that I feel OLD around them.  ;)  We are so thankful for the many sweet friends and relationships that we have made in Apex in our short 1.5 years here.

Sweet Kiddos!

My sweet high school friend, Angie, stopped by my Mom's house this past weekend.  She purchased an outfit from The Smocked Shop so I just brought it with me.  She brought three of her four kids with her.  Can you say precious?  Blythe, Pete, and Macie had the best time hanging out with Kamdyn and Karcie.  They played the piano and played Play-Doh.  It's so sweet to see our kiddos playing together.  I only wish that we lived closer so that they got to do it more often.

Painting Picassos

Campbell came over to play one afternoon and the girls wanted to paint.  So, off we went to the back porch so that everyone would have a seat and space.  The girls had a good time.  They got messy fingers, but they painted perfect masterpieces!

Playdate with Campbell

Karcie loves Campbell, our next door neighbor.  Campbell is a year older than Karcie which is good for our little strong willed Karcie who likes to try to dominate those that are her age or younger.  When Colleen brought Campbell over, she had Declan with her.  I convinced her to leave Declan and take some time for herself.  A shower, all alone, without your kids coming in every few seconds will do wonders for your mental stability!!  Colleen has been so great to me, it was the least that I could do.  Besides, I love to hang out with Declan.

The girls played with play-doh.  Then, they painted.  They went upstairs and played in the playroom for a while.  They dressed up like little princesses.  Declan and I played with toys and read books.  Some Declan-time is just enough "baby-time" so that I can get my baby fix without having another one.  :)   Yippee for wonderful neighbors!!

Valentine's Day

We spent Valentine's Day driving back home.  But, before we left Ruthie's, I made the girls heart shaped sandwiches.  I didn't have a cookie cutter so I used a knife.

Kamdyn was eager to get home so that she could have a sleep over at Mia's house.  Mia's Mom sent this photo to me of the two of them making chocolate covered strawberries.  Valentine's Day was very low key for us.

Playdate

Kamdyn invited her friend, Mia, over for a playdate a couple of weekends ago.  I bought some treats for them to make turkey cookies with.  Let's just say that this project wasn't as easy as it looked.  The pieces did not want to stay together with the chocolate frosting as glue!  The girls made the most of it and LOVED eating the cookies more than anything anyway.

Kamdyn was already eating hers!

Yummy!

Mia and Kamdyn decided to play Twister!  It was hilarious!

Playdate

Kamdyn invited a friend from school over last Wednesday! Abigail was in Kamdyns class last year. She is such a sweetie! She and Kamdyn get along really well.

We decided to bake and decorate cupcakes while she was here. The girls had a great time mixing, frosting, and decorating them with sprinkles. Their favorite part was eating them!!!

Karcie gobbled her cupcake UP just as soon as she woke up from nap!

Karcie and Landon

So, I will have to catch up on beach posts later. I'm falling further and further behind on current posts.  Landon's Mom had errands to run that weren't conducive to a 2-year-old tag a long, so I kept him for a few hours.  He and Karcie had a  blast playing.  And, to be honest, I was a little nervous.  I know how my two year old can be at times and I was nervous that the two of them together would be crazy!!  Surprisingly, they both did great and even SHARED!!

Park Playdate with Landon

Stacey and I took Landon and Karcie to the park this week.  They hadn't seen each other in over two weeks because their family was away at the beach for a week and then we were gone to the beach for a week.  They were both super excited to go to the park!  When we passed the park a day or so before our playdate, Karcie would say, "I see Landon!!  I go to park and see Landon!"  Except she says Landon like this, "Yandy."  It's so cute!

Karcie ended up with tons of sand in her hair.  But, that's what happen when two-year-olds play in the sand.  :)

The Three Muskateers

We had our 2nd Boogie Babies class on Thursday.  The other Moms haven't busted out their cameras yet during class, so I have refrained, too.  Maybe next time though!  As we were leaving Karcie and Livi were holding hands walking out.  Then, we convinced Kylan to hold Karcie's hand, too.  If they got any cuter, I just don't know what I would do.  I was shocked that they walked all the way down the hall this way!  What?  Look at Kylan's little teeny tiny boots!  LOVE!
