While the Mercer boys were catching up on some sleep and study time on Saturday afternoon, we took an adventure to the Cary Kite Festival. Holy people everywhere!! We almost turned around when we saw all of the cars and chaos. We decided to brave the crowd and we were glad that we did. However, flying a kite a midst TONS of other people trying to fly kites proved to be a tangled mess. We did get the kite up for a few minutes, but the wind just wasn't strong enough or consistent enough to keep it flying. The girls had a good time running around and playing on the playground. It was good family fun!!
