HELP!

When we were leaving the lake 4th of July weekend there was a man who could not pull his boat out of the water.  Richard always explains to me why all trucks need four wheel drive.  On this day, I understood exactly why!  This poor man was trying to pull his huge boat up a sandy boat ramp.  And let me tell you, the only thing he was doing was spinning wheels and sand.  Richard wanted to pull him out so badly, but our boat was attached to his truck.  Richard told the man, "Hey, we have a strap and he will pull you up the hill."  The man was hesitant because he was worried about his bumper.  Seems to me he would have jumped right on the help seeing as how he was going NOWHERE without help!  He finally found a place suitable for him to hook the strap.  Patrick's GMC pulled him right up the hill without hesitation.  Richard and Patrick were proud!  MEN and their TOYS......I will never get it!!

Check out Richard giving orders and facilitating this process!

SUCCESS!

4th of July Weekend

Our 4th of July weekend went from having not one thing to do to being completely full!  We had such a great time with family and friends!

We visited with family at Drenda's house in Greenwood for Raymond's birthday on Saturday!

Kamdyn entertained everyone there!

We came home that evening just in time to get on the boat to watch the fireworks on the river.  Nanny met us at our house to keep Karcie.  We missed The Turners this year, but just couldn't get everything worked out so we could see everyone!

My 4th of July sweeties!

My precious big girl!

Waiting on the fireworks to start.

Kamdyn was getting bored.  After my phone quit entertaining her we took out the camera.  It was so hot and humid that night.  UGH!

Crazy face time!

And, again!

On Saturday we met Patrick and Carly at Clarks Hill lake.  Nanny was keeping Karcie for us!  Thank you so much, Nanny!

On Monday, Richard's family joined us at our house for some more water fun and family time.  Mama Lucy was putting her "spell" on Karcie!

Precious!

Drenda put a "spell" on Karcie, too.  Karcie sleeps wonderfully at night, but hardly sleeps a wink during the day!  She fights going to sleep with every ounce of her being.

It even took the three sisters!

I love this one!

My big 4th of July baby!

My most favorite things!

I just love squeezing those cheeks!

I love my babies!

More Fun at Nanny's

I am way behind with my posts.  I hope to get caught up soon.  We have been super busy since we got back from Nanny's house a few weeks ago.  Here are a few more photos before we left Nanny's.

Kamdyn in her Gingerbread apron and her beautiful make-up!  LOVE the eyeshadow.  She tells me that she can't keep one eye closed and one eye open to see her eyelids so she has to put it on her forehead!  :)

Karcie got a new jungle gym which she was not the least interested in!  We will try this again later!

Thinking about what to do!

She decided to cry!

Kamdyn playing this old computer with her Tinkerbell slippers on while we made a quick visit to Aunt Brenda's house.

Aunt Brenda with our pretty girls!

Karcie got in the bed with me every morning while we were at Nanny's for one last morning nap!  She is such a good sleeper at night!

Bye-bye Nanny!  See you next time!

Swamp People

We have become fond of the show Swamp People.  We get tickled at the dialects of the people on that show.  Richard is a pro at saying "Shoot 'em, Lizabeth!"  It cracks me up!  I love imitating how the people say, "Alli-geh-ta."  At any rate, it was kind of exciting around our house the other night when I looked out our bedroom window while nursing Karcie and saw this "alli-geh-ta."  Richard ran out the door to check him out.  It was really close to our dock.  It was about a 4 foot alligator.  YIKES!

We see you!

As soon as Richard walked on our dock the alligator started going under water and swimming away!

Look Who's Taking a Bottle

Karcie took to a bottle like a pro!  I have nursed her exclusively for 32 days every 2-3 hours for the most part.  In order for us to be able to be away from each other for more than a few hours, Karcie had to be able to take a bottle.  I pumped today for the first time with a double electric pump that was so quick and easy!  Surprisingly, I pumped 6 ounces!  When nursing you always wonder how much the baby is actually getting.  I never thought in a million years that she would drink all 6 ounces, but she did and she loved it!  No wonder she is chunking up so quickly!  This baby likes to EAT!!  WAY TO GO, Karcie!

"Old" Friends

Every summer I try to get together with two of my friends from high school - Angie and Michelle.  I hate to call them "old" friends because we are certainly not old, but they are long time friends.  It is always nice to see friends that I don't get to see very often and feel right at home with them.  We have multipled since our last get together last summer.....there are three more babies!

Karcie and Macie (Angie's baby is two weeks OLDER than Karcie).  Karcie looks like a three month old compared to sweet Macie!

Karcie, Macie, and sweet Blythe (9 months).  Angie and Kevin adopted Blythe and found out they were pregnant with Macie just a week before they brought Blythe home.  Both girls are precious!

Cullen, Kamdyn, and Warren.  Cullen and Warren are Michelle's two boys.  They are the cutest little boys!  Warren and Kamdyn had fun playing Clemson football player and cheerleader.  They both decided that they wanted to play together again some day soon!

I don't know how we managed to be able to get all of them still for one photo, but we did!  All EIGHT of our sweet babies!  So hard for me to believe!!

This was Take 2 and Blythe was ready to eat and take a nap.  Eli (Angie's 6 year old) was doing his best to keep her happy!  Pete is Angie's 22 month old and is on the left of Baby Macie.  Angie has four precious children and must have nerves of steel!  :)  She is great with them!

Karcie's First Road Trip

Kamdyn, Karcie, and I hit the road this past Sunday to head to Nanny and Pop Pop's house.  I was a little nervous as to how Karcie would do with a two hour drive, but she slept the entire ride.  It was so pleasant for me.  Kamdyn watched Tangled on her DVD player and Karcie slept.  I had two hours of peace listening to MY music,  which is a rare occasion these days!  I loved it!  We have adapted much easier and much quicker with Karcie than we did with Kamdyn.  We didn't take Kamdyn out of the house until she was over two months old.  Karcie has been to Target, Wal-Mart, Chick-fil-A, Cracker Barrel, and P.F. Chang's.  She was GREAT in all places and didn't make a peep!

Karcie "talking" to Nanny!

Our sweet baby girl!

Kamdyn loves coming to Nanny's because she gets to to whatever she wants to do.  Her favorite thing to do is make craft projects and put on her pretend make-up!  We are having a great time and I am sure there will be more to post before we get back home.

Happy 35th to Daddy!

Richard turned 35 on Saturday!  He asked for a new BB gun.  Kamdyn was happy to give him is gun and his cards.  We hope he enjoyed his birthday with us and the rest of our family!  He sure is special to all of us!

Daddy asked for a birthday kiss from his sweet big girl!

Kamdyn insisted on reading his cards to him.

PRECIOUS!
