I keep looking at the ticker on the side of my blog wondering where in the world the past five years have gone. In less that two weeks our once little 6 lb. 5 1/2 oz. baby girl will be turning five.
I realized today that I failed to update her baby books when she turned four. I printed the photos that I needed to document her 4th birthday and I looked back on the best five years of my life. With the arrival of our new baby just around the corner, I have been busy getting everything prepared, including washing all of the baby clothes. The baby detergent has reminded me of that sweet Kamdyn baby smell. All of Kamdyn's outfits have given me precious reminders of different times when Kamdyn wore those clothes. My blessings are so undeserved.
Kamdyn has brought so much happiness to our lives. She continue to amaze us with her sweet, but sassy personality. Her love for learning keeps us on our toes. She remembers EVERYTHING!!
I am so glad that she attended our church CDC for two years. She has gained a strong foundation for her faith and love of God. She is constantly reading her toddler Bible. She tells me in detail about the Bible story that she learns through chapel each week. She recites her Bible verses and constantly sings Christian songs. We will miss chapel and the Christian based learning as she starts Kindergarten next year. She still doesn't quite understand why she will not be learning about God next year at my school. She has such a sweet and innocent soul. I hope the "real" world never takes her sweet disposition away from her.
As we await the arrival of our new baby girl, I hope Kamdyn will continue to know how very special she is to me. She is the precious angel who gave me the best name of all - Mommy! But most importantly, she made me a better person. And for that, I will be forever grateful! I love you sweet, Kamdyn!

At first we kept calling these monkeys chimpanzees. Since then, I think I have decided they are baboons. They could be heard ALL over the zoo and entertained us for quite a while. How do they keep them inside of this area? Why don't they just swing their way out? I'll never know....

Against my husband's wishes (so please don't ask him) I purchased, with the help of Nanny, new baby bedding for Baby K's nursery. I was actually looking online to accessorize Kamdyn's old bedding and found something that I just couldn't live without. Besides, I wanted Baby K to have her own room. She's already going to be sporting a lot of hand-me-downs from Kamdyn so I thought she at least deserved a room of her own that she didn't have to share with her big sister.
Anyway, I asked my very talented friend/co-worker to work her artistic magic to create letters to go over the crib for Baby K's room. She willing offered to do them for a baby gift for me! She is AWESOME!! I sent her with a piece of the nursery fabric and just like that.......she created a work of art that is P-R-E-C-I-O-U-S!!
She brought the letter K to share with me today. She, of course, knows the name because she has all of the letters. I am waiting for her to finish the letters so I can hang them and post a picture of the name over the crib. Even though the reveal of her name is not that big of a deal or surprise, I just want to wait to share Anna Susan's work and Baby K's name all at once! Stay tuned.....

We were eating dinner together as a family at home on Tuesday night and Kamdyn noticed that the sun was shining while it was raining. I told her that I thought there might be a rainbow since it was sunny and raining. We looked out the back door over the river and didn't see anything. We looked out the front door and saw this beautiful rainbow! Since St. Patrick's Day was on the way, Kamdyn said, "Mommy, can we go see if there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow?" I, of course, said, "No, it's rainy and yucky outside." I did remind her, however, of the real meaning of a rainbow (which she already knows). And for that promise, I thank God for His daily reminders that He is ever-present in our lives. He is so good!

These lions were beautiful!
It seemed as we had the Zoo all to ourselves for the first hour. We got there as soon as it opened and I think we made a really good decision! We even got a front row parking space!
Kamdyn and the goat.
The cute pony!
Kamdyn leading the way telling us where she wanted to go next!
I think she had her nose crinkled up because the flamingos were S-T-I-N-K-Y!!
Pretty, but stinky!
Toucans
Look, there's the elephant! I wonder if he will poop and pee like the one at the circus? This seemed to be the highlight for her???
Kamdyn and Daddy
Not sure if this was Micah or Chocco, but we really enjoyed watching the gorillas.
We were there to watch them get fed!
Kamdyn would have no part in feeding the giraffes.
But, it was cool how close you could get to them!
Mapping out her next destination....she is her Daddy's child!
YIKES!
Mommy needed a little rest!
Daddy wanted me to pose with the shark! I should have opened my mouth!
Our sweet girl!
Baby Bump is growing!! 28 weeks and hopefully about 8-9 more weeks to go!
Checking out the gorillas.
We took the Tram to the Botanical Gardens.

Even though the weather was yucky this weekend, we were busy, busy, busy! On Friday night we took Kamdyn to The Pizza Joint for dinner and to the Circus - Zing Zang Zoom. On Saturday night we invited Mrs. Denise and her family over to celebrate her birthday! We love her and her family so much! We enjoyed sharing her birthday with her. On Sunday, Kamdyn and I headed out for some shopping and to see Rango. We had such a great weekend filled with family, friends, and fun!!
Walking from our parking place to the Circus.
Watching the clown prior to show time!
Posing with Daddy!
We loved the circus, but we weren't able to take any photos while the circus was going on. :(
Our sweet girl!
Happy Birthday, Mrs. Denise! We put 4 candles on to represent 40-something! :)
Kamdyn helped her blow out the candles! We love you Mrs. Denise!
$15 was definitely worth spending time with my Baby Girl!
