"I gotta check my email."

This is one of Kamdyn's new phrases along with "I got to go to work" and "I got some work to do." Here she is attempting to "check her email." I had a Word document open so she could "type." It cracks me up how she has her hand on the mouse so precisely!

Typical Friday Night

I remember the days of getting off of work on a Friday afternoon and rushing home to get ready for a big night on the town. Wow, how times have changed. A typical weekend night around here consists of:

1. Playing with Kamdyn.
2. Putting a load of laundry in to wash.
3. Making Kamdyn something to eat.
4. Boiling chicken so Daddy can make Chicken Chili Beans.
4. Putting load of laundry in to dry.
5. Putting another load of laundry in to wash.
6. Giving Kamdyn a bath, drying her hair, brushing her teeth.
7. Reading Pinkalicious, saying prayers, and putting Kamdyn to bed.
8. Eating dinner. Tonight, it was chicken chili beans. Yummy, Daddy. We "splurge" on the weekends. :) During the week it's whatever I can find, which is usually cereal.
9. Updating blog.
10. While blog video is uploading: folding load of clothes, putting clothes away, cleaning up kitchen.
11. Finishing video post.
12. Watching about an hour of TV.
13. Folding another load of laundry and putting it away. (Thinking to myself, where did all of these ______ clothes come from?)
14. Brush teeth, wash face, and crash into the bed at 10:00 sharp (yes, even on the weekend!).

I've really learned to multitask. While this may seem like a boring life to some, it's my life and I LOVE it. Times have changed, but I wouldn't change time for anything in the world.

Conversing with Kamdyn

Kamdyn is quite a talker. I can't believe that she doesn't talk in her sleep. She is so funny! Each day she surprises me with at least one new word. Sometimes she uses her new word out of context, but it's so funny and amazing hearing her speech and language develop. Here is a typical conversation with Kamdyn these days.

Now I Know My ABC's........Sort Of!

Here is Kamdyn singing her ABC's. She gets a little carried away at the end and leaves out some of the letters. Oh well! Also, my camera is still acting up which is why it blacks out at the end. It's definitely time for a new one. Daddy is going to have get started on his camera research!!

Movie Theatre

Kamdyn went to see her very first movie at the movie theatre today. Georgia is so brave and so great! She took both Kamdyn and Jacob to see the Veggie Tales new movie, Pirates. Taking Jacob to the movies is something that she has done quite often. He is much calmer and laid back compared to Kamdyn and he is also a year and a half older. Kamdyn is the "live wire" that must be moving and talking at all times. I actually met them at the movies when I got off of work just in case she needed to be "rescued." The movie was a little more than half over. Kamdyn was in Georgia's lap when I got there and she was talking away. Luckily, there was only about 6 other people in the theatre. Kamdyn was singing Barney, talking to me, and attempting to talk to Jacob. He is so patient with her. She said, "Hey, Jacob," about 10 times right in his face. He was trying so hard to watch the movie, but never got aggravated with her. She did pause a few times to look at the movie and comment on what was happening. When it went off, she yelled out, "I want to watch it again!" I took a few pictures with my cell phone of her in the lobby with some of the video games. She insisted on sitting in the seat of the car video game. I'll post them as soon as Richard gets them off of my phone. :)

First Snow

I really don't think I would consider this her first "real" snow experience because she wasn't able to run, jump, and play in the snow; however, she did get to see the snow falling out of the sky just before her bedtime. My camera wouldn't work, of course, but we did get some video on our regular video camera of her watching and feeling the snow as it fell on her head. We wouldn't have known it was snowing if I hadn't checked the weather to see that it said "snow in North Augusta." I said, "Wow, they say it's snowing here!" Richard looked out the window and discovered that it really was snowing, even at our house. We bundled Kamdyn up in her jacket and jommies and we were out the door for a brief few minutes. She says, "Let's make a snowman." We giggled and told her that there wasn't enough snow. Maybe it will snow another time when she can actually play and enjoy it! Too bad it was dark!

New Word

This morning, Kamdyn was in the living room while I was folding clothes in the bedroom. I kept hearing an occasional grunt and knew exactly what she was up to. Then, I say, "Kamdyn are you okay?" I hear, "Yes, Mommy, I otay." I say, "Are you doing a stinky." She says, "Uh huh, I con-ti-pated." I say, "What!?!" not believing my ears. She says again, "I con-ti-pated." I thought I was going to fall in the floor laughing. Who knew that a baby could actually know what constipated means? She never ceases to surprise me or amaze me!!!

PINKALICIOUS!

A friend of mine and her daughter, Kerri and McCanless, recommended the book "Pinkalicious" for Kamdyn. So, Santa brought her this special book for Christmas. When I said that Kamdyn was obsessed with Barney, she is equally obsessed with Pinkalicious. I'm not sure whether to be grateful for Kerri and McCanless' recommendation or whether to "fuss" at them for it! :) However, naptime and bedtime have turned in to "Pinkalicious" time. We MUST read this book before Kamdyn will get in her bed. For that, I am very grateful because bedtime is a breeze, but it's the reading it ALL day that I can hardly stand! Needless to say, Kamdyn speaks of this book many times a day. If you have any special little girls in your life, this is a MUST HAVE book! I know what her birthday theme is going to be............................Thanks, Kerri and McCanless, we really do LOVE the book, even MOMMY and DADDY!
