Week in Augusta

This trip was kind of unexpected.  Richard was called to come back to Aiken for a week.  We didn't have anything to do, so we went with him.  It was fun to be back in a place that we loved so dearly for 12 years!  We got to visit with friends and visit places that we miss.  Sadly, my friends were already back at school so I didn't get to see them like I had planned.  I did get to go to dinner with Denise one night, but completely forgot to get a photo of the two of us.

Karcie, Kamdyn, and I hung by the pool for two days!  Jacob and Georgia joined us for one of the days.  My phone was dead so no pics that day.

While Daddy works.....

....his girls play!!

I visited the hotel workout room one morning.  I reaffirmed how much I LOATHE working out on a treadmill.  Hate. It. More. Than, Anything.  But, you do what you gotta do when on vacation!
Starbucks at the Mall!

Georgia took these sweet kiddos to the Mall and to Chuck E. Cheese.

Karcie announced, "My Mommy won't take me to Chuck E. Cheese, but my Georgie will!"  True story, Karcie!  But I did stop by to see what they were doing.

Jacob and Kamdyn pick up right where they leave off.  It's funny to see the bond that was made by the two of them at such a young age.  I hope they will always be friends!

Big pizza for some hungry kiddos!

Dancing with Chuck E.  Kamdyn is breaking it down right here!

I did make it to Jazzercise one morning....the only morning they had class while I was there.  I surely miss Loralee!  She's my inspiration and truly the reason that I fell in love with Jazzercise many years ago.  She turned 60 in July and looks WAY younger!!  Proof that exercising and taking care of yourself keeps you young!!

She has also always loved my babies which makes her even that much more special to us!!  WE were all happy to see her.  We took her a birthday card and gift card to celebrate her!

I drove the girls by our very first house in North Augusta.  Mill Branch Way....I will never forget it and all the memories made there!

I met Nanny in Greenwood on Wednesday so she could get the girls.  I bought the girls brand new Nikes for school.  They couldn't wait to wear them around Nanny's house.

Cuteness!

Kamdyn sent this photo of Karcie to me.

So I sent these photos back to them!

Thank you Nanny for keeping our girls so that we could enjoy an adult weekend!  We certainly had a great time!!

Karcie's Birthday Weekend

Kamdyn was super surprised when Jacob surprised her as she got off the bus.  I love when a good secret goes as planned!!  These two spent the weekend playing on the computer, hanging out at the pool, and being silly together.  We loved our time spent with Georgia, Randy, and Jacob!  Thanks for visiting us!!

Happy as can be!!

Best buddies!!

Dinner at the Mexican Restaurant....we found out that Jacob REALLY loves Mexican rice!  :)

Georgia and Karcie.  Karcie wasn't really in to smiling!

Karcie with her new Elsa/Anna Doll from the Florida Terrys!  She loves it!!

Hanging out before they had to drive back to Georgia!

Christmas with Georgia

We had a combo Christmas this year since moving to NC has made it a little more difficult to see our Upstate SC family and our Augusta family. Georgia and Randy came to Nanny's and surprised Kamdyn by bringing Jacob, too.  We missed our get together this year with Jacob's family and Georgia's family.  It's hard to move and miss out on fun traditions.  We adjust and make new traditions!  :)

Kamdyn was ecstatic to see Jacob.  In fact, she jumped into his arms and knocked him down.  Poor thing!!  It was cute though!  Jacob was styling in his Batman hat.  Georgia had to try it on, too!  Jacob and Kamdyn played together like old times.  They played with their Rainbow Looms and play-doh.  They played the piano.  I loved their duet!  The included Robin and Karcie in their playtime.  Their favorite part was opening gifts.

Jacob gave Kamdyn an ice cream maker.  (NOTE: it ain't as easy as TV makes it out to be.  3 minutes of shaking??  Right!  My arm was about to fall off after about 20 minutes of shaking and we still had a milkshake!) She was so excited because she has been wanting one of these FOREVER!  We gave Jacob the game Fibber.  They couldn't wait to play it!

Georgia gave her three babies lots of special gifts including contributing to the play-set.  Each of them had a trick present where several boxes were wrapped inside a box until they finally revealed the gift.  Karcie was hilarious when unwrapping box after box.  That was a good one, Georgia!  :)

We are still so very thankful for Georgia and the love she gives to our girls.  We are blessed to have her as a part of our family forever.  What would we do without her?

Georgia and Jacob Visit Apex

I bet you can't guess who was MOST excited about Georgia and Jacob coming to Apex?  If you guessed Kamdyn, then you are correct.  This girl was ecstatic for over a week anticipating their arrival.  She couldn't wait to share with Jacob her new life in Apex.  It was a busy, busy weekend filled with pool time, eating, playing, riding bikes, hanging out with Sydney, getting aggravated by a little sister, baking, going to the movies, trips to Target, lunch with Kamdyn at school, etc.   Mommy and Daddy even got to enjoy a Friday night dinner out at PF Changs and a nice lake day on Saturday. Jacob said he wanted to stay for a month.  :)  We are glad that he had such a great time.  We are so blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives.  We can't wait for them to visit again!

Playing on the I-Pad with her two best friends!

Enjoying cupcakes from Delightful Bites in Augusta.

We decided to take the kids to see Monsters University.  We were unsure about taking Karcie, but decided to brave it.  She has been obsessed with Monsters Inc. here lately.
She goes around saying, "I watch Monsties Inc."  The cool thing is that she will actually sit and watch the entire movie.  I thought that keeping her still and quiet in the theater would be a long shot, but she proved me wrong!  She did so great throughout the entire movie.  When each preview would go off she would say, "More! More!"  One time she did yell out, "Dat too loud!  It scared me!"  When we first got there, I think she thought that going to the movies meant the arcade.  She didn't want to get away from this car.  :)

Kamdyn and Jacbo took their photos in the photo booth.

Karcie and Mommy just before the movie started!

We took this as we were leaving!

This was our yummy hot dog dinner with jalapeno poppers as a side made by Georgia.  This was our last night before they left.  :(

Before heading back to Augusta, Georgia and Jacob made one last stop by Kamdyn's school to have lunch with her.  I know that having them at her school made her day, week, and probably life!  :)

Dinner at Georgia's

Each year Georgia invites our family and Jacob's family over for a Christmas dinner.  We are so thankful for the time that we get to spend with these two families.  The adults enjoy a yummy dinner and we secretly listen to Kamdyn and Jacob as they play.  Kamdyn is still convinced that she and Jacob are going to get married one day.  The grown-ups joke about this pre-arrangement that Kamdyn has already declared!  She truly means it!  In fact, just the other day she was explaining to me that "when" she and Jacob get married that Sonya will be her mother-in-law and Jack will be her father-in-law.  The adults have fun laughing at Kamdyn's persistence and how persuasive she is with Jacob.  We LOVE these families and we are so glad that God has brought all of them into our lives.  Thank you, Georgia, for inviting us over!  We had a great time!
Karcie enjoyed some time in her walker.

Jacob turns 7!!

I cannot believe that Jacob turned 7 this past Saturday. This also means that my Kamdyn is 5 1/2 because the two of them have each other's half birthdays.  :)  We enjoyed a lego party for Jacob at our school last Friday.  I can't express how sweet Jacob is after receiving a gift.  He was so excited over each and every gift he got.  If we all got that excited over receiving gifts, I have a feeling we would get them a lot more often.  He was so appreciative!

Karcie made an appearance at the party.  This girl is a drooling machine!

Waiting in line for pin the heart on the lego man!

Getting blind folded by her teacher, Mrs. Graham!

So close!

Kamdyn had a secret to tell Jacob!
