Happy St. Patrick's Day

We had the best little St. Patrick's Day.  I have been subbing at the girls school this year.  I had to work on St. Patrick's Day in 5th grade so the three of us were decked out in our green.

That silly leprechaun made a mess in our house and left clues everywhere leading to some treats for the girls.  They loved chasing down their "pot of gold."

Our neighborhood loves to have a good time.  One of our neighbors who has a basement hosted a great St. Paddy's Day party.  The kids were invited.  We had delicious Irish food and drinks.  They had a movie screen set up outside so the kids watched "Sing."  The kids went to bed around 10:00ish and some of the parents continued to have a good  time.

I love our neighborhood so much!  This was exactly where we were meant to land four years ago!

Dinner with Friends

Another Jazzercise post.  :)
Jazzercise has brought so many wonderful ladies into my life.  I am so thankful for my total body workout, but I am even more thankful for this strong, wonderful group of ladies that I get to call friends!

Happy Halloween!

We started Halloween in Kamdyn's class.  They were learning about chemical and physical changes in Science.  They had a Mad Science Day exploring these changes.  We made butter in my station.

We started Halloween night at a neighbor's house for dinner then made our way through the neighborhood trick-or-treating.  We really do love this neighborhood of ours.  Our little cupcake and baker were the cutest things around!!

Neighborhood Halloween Party 2016

Colleen and I came up with this crazy idea to have a Halloween Party.  It wasn't crazy at first until we couldn't figure a way to make the party small.  Soooo, we went big.  We invited over 100 people in our neighborhood to this party.  This meant that there was over 50 kids there.  We had our ducks in a row though and it went off without a hitch.  Thankfully, one of our neighbors showed up with a megaphone.  That was just what I needed.  It definitely saved the day for organizing a large bunch of kids.

Our activities included:
Donut eating contest (two round big/little kids) - Donuts hung from a string.  Kids had to eat them without their hands.  Powder sugar was everywhere!

Balloon Pop (two round big/little kids) - Balloon was tied to leg.  You had to pop everyone else's balloon and protect yours.  No one got hurt!  Yay!

Toilet Paper Mummy Contest - Teams had to completely roll a Dad in toilet paper.  First to use all of their toilet paper "won."  This was funny!!

Two Pinantas - Divided into age groups.

Ghost Hunt - We tied what seemed like one million tissues around dum dums for the kids to 'hunt' ghosts.  We hid these in Colleen's backyard.  The little kids especially loved this!

We ran out of time for the Whip Cream contest.  The kids were supposed to put their face in a plate of whip cream and find the piece of chocolate without using their hands.

Everyone brought a dish to share.  We provided hot dogs, chips, smores, and activities for the kids.

I think it turned out to be a super fun party that we hope to have annually!
