End of Preschool Celebration

Karcie's end of year celebration was at Chick fil A.  One of the little girls in Karcie's class, her family owns the Chick fil A in Apex.  The kids had a super fun time enjoying some time together.  I loved hearing what Ms. Tavia and Ms. Kay had to say about all of the children and how much they had grown this year.  It was so sweet of them!  We are so thankful to these Godly teachers!

Karcie's Birthday Celebration at School

We REALLY drug out Karcie's birthday this year!  She had so many celebrations that she didn't really know when her real birthday was.  I didn't mind a bit though and neither did she!  You only turn Five once!!  She was happy to be a whole hand!

She decided on a Frozen themed cake for her school celebration.  Whatever floats your boat, Karcie-girl!

Proud as punch!

I adore this smiley girl!

Karcie's Last Preschool Picture

I can't believe that my baby will start Kindergarten next year.  I've been very careful to pay close attention to our "lasts" here lately.  These were her last preschool photos.  Ever.  I didn't purchase these photos because I got them in the fall, but I did get a class photo.  I love this girl with all of my heart and I am going to miss her so much next year!  She is my side-kick, my shopping partner, my lunch date, and so much more.  What excuse will I use to frequent Chick-fil-A next year?  Time passes so quickly.  I try to soak up every minute of every day, but life is so busy sometimes that I forget to pause to really enjoy the little things.

Beatrice

Karcie's class mascot is a bumblebee.  Every few weeks she gets to bring home Beatrice.  At the end of Beatrice's stay, we have to document what these two did together.  Karcie finishes off her school project by drawing a pretty little picture.  It's a good introduction to homework for Kindergarten.  Gasp!   Did I just say Kindergarten?  I'm still in major denial!

February Birthday Parties

Karcie's February was full of birthday parties.  Two of her favorite school friends invited her to their parties.  One was a Pancake and PJ party at her best buddy, Lawson's, house.  Karcie enjoyed flipping pancakes and playing pin the nose on the pancake.  She actually won!

Kaitlyn's party was at Bounce U.  This girl is fearless on all of this bouncy stuff.  She never once asked for help.  She jumped right in and did what all of the other kids were doing....which was screaming A LOT and running all over the place.  I love watching Karcie interact with her friends! She really knows how to have a good time!

Karcie Loves Jesus and She Loves to Sing!

Karcie fills my heart when she comes home singing the songs that she has learned at Chapel.  She loves Jesus and says the sweetest prayers every night.  I am so thankful to Apex Baptist for this Godly love that they have help put in my babies heart.

Karcie is an Angel!!

Karcie's last Christmas preschool program was so precious!  We were ecstatic to learn that she was chosen to be the "main" angel and got to wear the fancy angel dress.  We didn't know that with this role that she would be front and center on the stage.  She did such a great job!  I loved watching her sing and act out the movements.  She cracked us up at times because she would yawn and quit singing/dancing as if she was bored.  Then, she would jump right back in.

I was asked to help hand out cookies and hot apple cider prior to the program.  I checked Kamdyn out of school so that she could attend.  She helped me greet and hand out cookies.  Richard wasn't sure if he would be able to make it because of a work call.  He showed up at the last minute.  Lucky for us, we got to sit on the front row since I was helping out.

We are so proud of our girl!

Thanks, Georgie, for the cute shirts!!

Karcie's School Photos

Karcie's school photos turned out cute.  I wish she was giving her real  "wrinkle nose" smile and I guess "toe pops" weren't allowed.  These will do, but I wish her little sassy personality  was showing just a big.  I can't believe my girl is in 4K.  I adore her!!

4K School Picture Day

You never know what the photos will turn out to look like, so I always try to take one of my own in their cute outfits.  I was told that her outfit needed a monogram in the middle of the acorn.  And, I know!!  Her slack Mama just couldn't get in together.  #epicfail
She looked cute even without the monogram!!  :)  So happy for all this Fall!

Karcie's First Day of 4K!

I barely had time to prepare for this day with all that we had going on.  Inside I was crying, but my girl was so excited that I couldn't let those tears fall.  I'm so thankful for how brave she is and how she has never been afraid to leave me.  She has loved school from Day 1.  She is growing faster than I care to admit.  Everyday that I pick her up, it gets a little harder because she gets a little heavier.  It really does make me sad, but so proud all at the same time.  I am thankful for this healthy, happy, smart, hilarious, sassy, still-can't-say-her-R's girl!  Being her Mommy has taught me so much and I hope she knows how much I adore her!

Karcie Laine, I hope you never, ever lose your spunk.  I pray that you will always stand your ground and stand firm on what you believe.  You try my patience, but I know that your strong willed attitude and leadership abilities will serve you well as you grow.   So many people tell me, "She is going to be leading something someday.  A CEO of a company?"  Whatever you decide to do, I hope you will stay true to yourself.  You love Jesus so much and you tell him that every single night.  I love to hear you say your bedtime prayers.  I don't think there is anything sweeter than the words that you send to heaven nightly.  You give the best snuggles and ask to snuggle everyone in our house each day.  None of us can resist your hugs and snuggles.  You are our baby.  We love you and protect you with everything in our being.  You have our hearts, baby girl, and we are so thankful that God chose us to be your family.  I love you, Karcie-girl!

No photo shoot of  Karcie would be complete without a toe pop!!

Look how big she looks on the way to school.  Legs crossed and all smiles!!
