Annual River Trip - Jr. Flotilla

This year our trip to The Black River in Georgetown, SC was a little later than normal.  We were excited to be able to spend some time with some of my favorite high school friends and our college friends.  That doesn't happen often.  I'm thankful that my groups of friends converged.  It has made for some really fun times!

Our first stop was The River Room in Georgetown.  We always go by boat and enjoy lunch.  It's about a two hour trip there and the food is worth it.  I always, always get their Shrimp and Grits.  While I'm sure they have other wonderful things on their menu, Shrimp and Grits never disappoint!

On Saturday, we floated down the River.  We didn't take any photos on the water b/c no one wanted to lose a phone to the river waters.  A good time was had by all.  Three more joined us for the fun that day.  We left the dock at noon.  We waited out a storm on the river bank around 3:00ish.  We could see the storm moving across the river in front of us.  We stopped to let it go by.  We floated right back to the dock around 8:20ish.  It was a perfect day for floating, listening to good music, hanging out with super friends, and enjoying some tasty beverages!!

Until next year, Black River!

They had a guitar in the bar area where we waited for our table.  Leave it to this guy to serenade us with a little "Sweet Home Alabama" while we waited!

Friday Group Photo!

Next, we  ventured over to The Big Tuna.  Love these two sweet friends!

We realized that all of these guys turned 40 within the past couple of months! They make 40 look GOOD!!

High School buddies!!
