Sesame Street Live

At the beginning of June I took Kamdyn and Karcie to see Sesame Street Live.  I braved it alone and it wasn't bad at all.  Karcie danced and loved watching all of the characters.  Kamdyn stood up the entire time dancing and singing.  Our seats were in the balcony to begin with, but we moved down to the floor after a few minutes.  In fact, my rule following oldest daughter had to be bribed to move down.  She was afraid we would get in trouble for not being in the right seats.  Nothing a little cotton candy couldn't fix!!  Spending time with these two can be challenging at times, but oh so fun!!

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

We are sad that we don't get to celebrate with you on your actual day!  But, we want you to know that we didn't forget and the celebration will just be delayed a bit.  We love you!!

Macaroni and Cheese Anyone?

I am very blessed to have two girls who eat just about anything! Karcie has been eating table food for a while now despite still being obsessed with her bottle. I am in denial about taking the bottle away from her because I know this is my last baby and she is growing WAY too fast!

Karcie loves black beans, pasta, green beans, chicken nuggets, bread, cheese, etc. I found out today that she DOES NOT like corn. She spit out every kernel and threw what was on her tray in the floor! Still working on this, too!

So, today mac and cheese was on the menu and this girl tore it up! She could not shovel it in fast enough!

We love this girl to pieces!!

Attack Baby

Karcie has a BIG personality which I think I have explained before. She is in to everything. She has no fear! She has already taken a tumble down our steps only to get up and try again.....So un-Kamdyn! She falls on a daily basis and almost always hits her head. How many times can you hit your head before there is damage? With all of that being said, she is also very sweet (when she wants to be). She has the cutest facial expressions and her laugh is contagious. We go from chasing her and constantly yelling no to squeezing her and telling her how sweet and cute she is within seconds. She definitely has added some spice to our lives!

Tonight she decided to attack Kamdyn as Kamdyn was calmly lying on the floor watching TV. Kamdyn is definitely going to have to toughen up with our mischievous Karcie around! I think Karcie was clapping with delight and pure satisfaction in one photo!

The Lion King

Ruthie gave Kamdyn and I each a ticket to see The Lion King for our birthdays. To say it was awesome would be a complete under statement. In fact, there are no words to describe it. If you have the chance to see it, GO! It's in Greenville until July 8th. You won't be disappointed and it is worth every penny! Thanks, Ruthie!

We enjoyed dinner at Smoke on the Water and we walked around downtown before the show. I certainly love Greenville and I don't realize how much I miss this fabulous city until I am actually there!

Happy Father's Day!

We have had a wonderful day celebrating an AWESOME Daddy! Kamdyn brought Richard his gifts in bed this morning. The girls surprised us by sleeping until 8:30. That was a gift all on it's own! Thank you, Richard, for just being YOU!!

His gifts included a coupon book made by Kamdyn. He can redeem his coupons for things like A Super Big Hug, King of the Remote Control, a free car wash, etc. She was quick to tell him which coupons were reusable and those that were good for ONE time only. King of the Remote definitely fell into the "ONE time only category!"

He got an "All About Dad" poster completed by Kamdyn. Cakey pants are khaki pants in 6 year old writing, in case you were wondering! :)

He got this precious footprint poem with both Kamdyn and Karcie's footprints. Was it easy painting and putting a one year old's footprints on here? Definitely not, but it was entertaining and so worth it for this adorable keepsake.

Last, he got some boring, but much needed clothes!

We enjoyed a Subway lunch per his request on our screened porch where he continues to sit while listening to music and enjoying his day!

We love you, sweetie, and feel so blessed to call you OURS!!!

Pool Party

Our neighbor loves a good pool party which is great because we do, too. Only problem is that we don't have a pool.

We loaded up the golf cart to travel across the street! We had to take the stroller, the pack n play, and the baby pool. I was tired by the time we got there! :)  Karcie did great though!

We had a fabulous time with lots of good entertainment! The highlight was watching Richard and Bart pour boiling water on the pool liner with a ladle in order to stretch the liner and put it back in place. One word- FUNNY!

My swimming pool beauties!

Kamdyn was watching this poor moth with a broken wing.

Who does this?

Kamdyn and Kate decided to be brave with Grace's dog, Zoe.  Neither of them love dogs, but this one seemed to steal their hearts.  :)

Lake Day

We love anything that has to do with boats, water, sun, and sand. Today, the girls and I loaded up the Pathfinder and headed to the lake to meet Richard after his morning of fishing!

Karcie played in her baby pool and had a picnic lunch. Despite being exhausted, it took her 4 hours to finally give in and take a nap! She's not one for missing out!

Kamdyn played all day! She and Richard had a dance party while skipping rocks. Yep, funnier than you can even imagine! She told her Daddy to "stick to skipping rocks" Ha! Ha! He was also singing and she told him to "stop because his singing could make an elephant faint!"

I love these days! Blogging from the lake and loving my family. I could be home organizing closets and drawers, but why? This is so much better!
