Opening Gifts with Jacob
Kamdyn and Jacob exchanged gifts last Friday at Georgia's! Kamdyn got a Hungry, Hungry Hippo game; a new computer; and, a Dora DVD interactive book! She LOVES all of them! Thanks, Georgia and Jacob! Now all I have to do is figure out where we are going to put all of these new toys!!
She will certainly miss both of them during our two week vacation. She is already asking, "Am I going to Georgia's tomorrow, Mommy?"

Our Little Actress.....
Yesterday Georgia took Kamdyn with her to get her hair cut. Kamdyn always gets a tootsie pop where Georgia gets her hair cut and yesterday was no different. After the haircut, they had to go to the bank where Kamdyn was given yet another sucker! They were inside the bank which gave Kamdyn her "audience!" She holds her suckers and says rather loudly, (according to Georgia), in her most dramatic, high pitched voice......"TWO SUCKERS??? My Mama is going to have a FIT!!" Georgia said that everyone in the bank died laughing at her which I know Kamdyn LOVED! A lady working at a desk on the other side of the bank even heard and said, "Did she just say what I think she said?" To that, Georgia could only reply, "Yes, she did!"
Kamdyn should definitely know about fits, but not because her Mom has them often! I mean, I've been known to throw a few fits in my lifetime; however, Kamdyn has been having more than her fair share of "fits" lately!!
What will I do with my little drama queen?

Lights of the South
Last night we took Kamdyn to see a wonderful exhibit. I must admit though, I was a little apprehensive. You just never know what to expect at places like this. I was impressed the second that we arrived. Everything was very organized! It was equipped with parking attendants; various ticket stands; short lines (we did go on a Monday night); and most importantly everything was decorated beautifully (not gaudy)!
Kamdyn was in love from the get go as soon as we drove up to Lights of the South. She couldn't wait to venture into the Gingerbread house. She was even excited to visit with Santa. I didn't make a big deal out of Santa for fear of her reaction. To our surprise, when it was her turn, she walked right up to him ALL by herself. She let him pick her up and put her on his lap. She had her picture taken with him and even gave us a "natural" smile instead of the BIG CHEESE!! Truthfully, I think she was a bit nervous because she was speechless. Anyone who has been around her for even a short period of time would not use an adjective such as speechless to describe her! In fact, she is quite the opposite! :) She told Santa one thing that she wanted, but we couldn't hear her. He asked her a few questions that she politely answered. He gave her a candy cane and we were off! We were so proud of our little sweetie and I was pleasantly surprised at the photo that they took. It was wonderful, which means I won't have to battle with the long lines at the Mall!!

Next, we got in line for the hayride to view the lights! Again, we were in line for less than ten minutes. One tractor pulled up shortly after we got in line. We didn't fit on that ride, but another tractor pulled up in less than five minutes! Kamdyn LOVED looking at the lights. They had just about every scene that could possibly be illuminated with lights: Beauty and the Beast, Barney, Spongebob, Spiderman, Batman, Peter Pan, Disney Castle, Three Wisemen, Manger Scene, etc. Kamdyn goes on hayrides often at the tree farm with Georgia. To her the hayride wasn't a big deal; however, as we passed the manger scene Kamdyn said (yelled), "Baby Jesus! How about we sing Away in a Manger?" Everyone close to us (and not so close) heard her and thought it was the cutest thing. To say that she was amazed would be an understatement. The hayride lasted for about 30 minutes.

After the hayride, we were off to Candyland. It was a wonderful outdoor play area for children which included this HUGE pink "dollhouse." Kamdyn was a little scared of the "bump bump" slide, but finally managed to slide down. They had a train, a tee pee, a climbing wall, etc. It was truly an event for everyone in the family. If you live in the Augusta area and haven't been, it is a fabulous place to visit especially for young children. The best part is that it is free for children under 5! It's $7.50 for adults. We loved it!!! As you can imagine, Kamdyn almost had a complete meltdown when we told her that we had to leave. I pacified her by promising her that we would go back. And, we will!!! It just won't be this year!! :)

Halleujah!!
KAMDYN SLEPT UNTIL 10:30 THIS MORNING!!
This is the first time since she has been born that she has slept past 8:00! She did wake up at her normal time, but stayed in the bed talking and reading her book. Since she gets out of the bed on her own now, I figured she would come in our room when she was ready to get up. The next thing I knew, I was looking at the clock at 9:45 in disbelief! I even had a chance to get up and get some things done before I FINALLY woke her up at 10:30. I had to make sure she wasn't sick or something! :)
I feel like a new person with all of that sleep!!

Neighborhood Fun
We have been blessed with a wonderful new neighborhood filled with lots of children and great neighbors. This afternoon Kamdyn enjoyed playing with Catherine again. Catherine has this Yamaha "Little Bob." Catherine, who is 4, and Kamdyn had such a great time riding around in it today. It was a hoot watching a 4 year old try to maneuver this thing! Kamdyn didn't quite know what to expect. She was just hanging on for dear life!
Tonight we were invited to a birthday party for the little girl who lives across the street. They were having a bonfire and Beaufort Boil. We joined in on the fun for a little while before our little sweetie turned into a pumpkin promptly at 8:00. She is so programmed and I am so thankful for my routine-conscience baby girl! She gets that trait honestly!

This was Kamdyn attempting to warm her hands by the fire. Jim, Catherine's Daddy, told her to stick her hands and her hiney out! Too cute!! She had everyone around the bonfire laughing at her!

Fun, Fun, Fun!
Denise invited me to a Christmas Concert that her son, Dalton, was performing in at the Bell Auditorium in Augusta on Thursday night. Since Richard was out of town, I didn't have a babysitter. She volunteered Ana Blake for the job and I was able to go. Kamdyn and I picked Ana Blake up from school. Kamdyn was so excited! Ana Blake had a bag full of things for her and Kamdyn to do. Kamdyn painted a beautiful picture that I am actually going to frame and hang in her playroom (pics of the masterpiece will be posted later!). She also made a snowman ornament for our Christmas Tree. Ana Blake is so thoughtful and sweet! She even remembered to pack something to lay down over our floor so they wouldn't make a mess and a "smock" for Kamdyn! What a wonderful babysitter she is!! Thank you, Ana Blake! Kamdyn had a great time!
