Hanging out in Cocoa Beach

Our flight didn't leave until late in the evening and we had to be off the boat pretty early.  We rented a car and made our way around Cocoa Beach.  We played mini golf at Golf N Gator.  We decided that whoever lost would have to hold the gator.  I started off terribly so I figured that I was several strokes behind him.  After tallying the score card, I was only ONE point behind him.  GRR!!  I would have tried a little harder at the end if I had known.  Oh well!  We both ended up holding the gator so it didn't matter anyway.  I was surprised by that little thing.  It's belly was so smooth and cold.  I couldn't believe how still it was when both of us held it.  It was weird!

After our game of mini golf, we enjoyed a nice lunch on the water with a pretty amazing view.  I really enjoy getaways without the kiddos because I think it gives us time to recharge, but I certainly couldn't wait to get back home to see my two little cuties.

They picked us up from the airport around 8:30 that night.  Karcie was asleep in the car.  I couldn't wait to get my hands on them when we got home.

A HUGE thank you to Nanny and Georgie for signing up back in June to take care of our girls.  We appreciate and love you both so very much!

Checking out the gator pond.

Look at his shirt....I swear he had this excursion planned based on his shirt choice.

I made him go first!

Pretty lunch view!

Cruising with The Carters - Day 3

We slept in after a rough night.  We were all feeling a bit green that morning and afternoon.  There was a mix of sun, clouds, and rain showers.  We got in some naps and tried to get ourselves oriented again.  I've never felt weird on these cruises.  Not being able to get our feet on solid ground at Cococay made a huge difference.

We rallied though and we were ready by dinner time.  We celebrated Patrick and Carly's Anniversary, too!

We had a super fun time.  BUT, I learned a few things.
1.  No vacations during December.  It stressed me out with Christmas around the corner.
2.  December cruises = Rocky Waters.  Not a fan of feeling yucky!
3.  Next time will be between May and October!

Cheers!

Fireball Y'all!!

These two had drink packages.  They definitely got their money's worth!!

I swear we got looks from the people beside us at dinner because we were so loud and silly!

It was fun though!!

Waiting for the "Love and Marriage" show to start.

Richard wanted us to be contestants.  I just couldn't do it.  That boat was doing some serious rocking!!

Cruising with The Carters - Day 2

We arrived in Nassau around noon.  We decided not to get off the boat for a while and to enjoy the sun and drinks.  Almost everyone got off the boat so we had it pretty much to ourselves.  Later in the afternoon, we ventured to a very windy Nassau so Carly could see the Bahamas.  We made our way down to Senor Frogs for a drink.

When we got back to the boat, it was time to get ready for the Captain's Reception.  We dressed up and enjoyed a fun dinner.  Then, we joined a dance party already in action.  This was the best night of our three in my opinion.  We acted silly. We danced.  It was just fun!

All was good until the middle of the night when the boat was rocking more than I ever remember from the 5 cruises that I have been on.  I woke up and got sick!  Richard swears it wasn't from the motion because I was fine afterwards.  He thinks it was something that I ate.  Normally, motion sickness stays with me for the duration of the movement.  When we got up the next morning, we were bummed to find out that the water was too rough for us to stop at Cococay.  Thumbs down!  Cococay, Royal Caribbean's private island, is always my favorite part!  That meant only one thing.....an entire day out in the rocky ocean.  :(

Pulling into Nassau

We sat in these seats almost the entire day!

We found this pirate in the Bahamas!

We were tempted to drop these crazies off!!

Senor Frogs!!

See our ship in the background?

Our boat...Enchantment of the Seas!

Walking out of Senor Frogs!

Back to the boat...we asked a stranger to take our photo!

Back on the boat sillies!

Cray cray!!

While Carly and I were getting ready, the boys were at the Casino.  It took them forever to come back!

I was bored so I took some selfies.

I'm not a selfie kind of person.  I never take photos of myself, but I did out of boredom!  There's only so much you can do in this tiny room!

This dude came back from the Casino in rare form.  Heaven forbid we take a "real" photo!

Can you please just smile right???

Waiting for dinner at the Captain's Reception

Pre-dinner smooches.

Please fix your jacket!

And smile!

Patrick was not about to be out-done by his crazy friend.  So he had to be crazy, too!

This pose cracks me up!

Posing in the main atrium before we put our boogie shoes on!

Silly girl!!
