The Potters Visit

The Potters usually stop by our house for at least a night during the week of July 4th either on their way to or from Lake Anna.  This year we had a surprise for Richard in our back pocket, so they stopped on their way home.  We had a super fun time with these Potter kiddos and Carrie while the Daddys enjoyed some time together at our lake house.  I so wish we lived closer to this sweet family so that our kiddos could grow up together.  We had such a fun time Potters.  Please come back soon!

Potter found Striped Bass beer somewhere and had to buy some for Richard.  He was all smiles and didn't even want to drink it....he wanted to save it!!  For what?  I don't know....display???

Story time with Mrs. Carrie!

That Jillian was cracking me up!

I have no idea where she gets this BIG personality from....

We made Karcie a place on the floor, but she ended up in the bed with Kamdyn because Jillian wanted to sleep with her Mom.

I let Karcie sleep with me one night.  She left me all of this space in my bed!!

These were the outtakes of me trying to capture the perfect photo of these three silly girls!

They were all cute, but this was as good as it was going to get.  I surrendered and gave up!!

This sweet baby was precious!!

Visiting with The Potters

Our visit to Anderson on Easter weekend was mainly to hang out with The Potters and visit with Bob at the hospice house.  Their family had two really tough weeks after Bob was diagnosed with leukemia. It's so hard letting go of someone that you love so very much.  But it's comforting to know that Jesus loves our loved ones way move than we could EVER imagine and will take care of them for eternity. We were very happy that we were able to visit with Bob before Jesus took him to his eternal home on Easter Sunday.   What a glorious day to meet Jesus!  His funeral service was so beautiful and we were glad that we could be there for their family.

While we were visiting, we got to hang out with this little ray of sunshine.  Jillian became instant friends with Kamdyn and Karcie.  In fact, when I saw Jillian at the funeral, she reached out her arms for me to hold her and said, "Where is Kamen and Karshie?"  I think she was telling me in a nice way that she really didn't want me.  She only wanted to see the K Girls!  It was the cutest thing EVER!

These girls played ring-a-round the rosie.  When they were getting a little loud for the peaceful hospice house, we took the circus outside.  They continued to play.  They played with rocks and got REALLY dirty.  Oh well!  They had fun.  Richard got to chat with Potter for a long while and I got to spend some time with Carrie.  The girls would have played all day long if we had left them alone.  While the circumstances of our visit was sad, we really enjoyed spending time with some of the people that we love the most.

Ring a Round the Rosie

I think they are plotting.

And there they go.  Check out who is leading the pack!!

Sweet friends!

Yep, they hand handfuls of rocks!!

See my rocks, Aunt Kim!!  Is she the cutest little thing or what??

Hanging out with Kamdyn.

They chatted for a while and Jillian NEVER let go of her bunny!

So much sweetness in one photo!

Sweet Jillian

This sweet girl makes guest appearances on our blog mainly because she is precious, but also because her Mama sends me photos and videos of her from time to time.  Jillian is wearing a Clemson cheer leading outfit that was Kamdyn's years ago.  Then, it was Karcie.  Now, it's Jillian's!  That outfit has held up pretty well and this little sweetness just MAKES the outfit!

The Potter Personality

I tell you what!  If you have ever met Carrie and Potter, you know how much personality the two of them have.  Well, let me tell you about that sweet baby girl of theirs.  She has more personality than any little baby I've seen!!  This sweet family came to visit us for a night.  Little J walked in the door with one arm swinging and those hips moving back and forth and she took over like she has seen every day of her life. We loved it!!  She sat with Kamdyn and Karcie.  They played.  Jillian showed us her "hulk face."  She showed us her belly, her "baby legs," and she showed us all how to "honk our noses."  I know Carrie and Potter sit at home and teach her these tricks so she can perform out in public.  ;)

Jillian even jumped right up on Richard's lap and hung out for a long while.  That really cracked all of us up!

We were thrilled to have them stop as they were passing through.  We sure wish we got to spend more time with them.  But, we will take what we can get!

We love you, Potter Family!  Please come back soon and don't forget to bring Jillian.

HEY, Jillian!!

I love the smiles on all of three of them.

Hanging out with "Uncle" Richard.  She was showing off that belly!

Hmmm....

Sitting with Kamdyn!

I had to steal her away to get some lovin'!

Then we took a smiling selfie!!  She loves me best, I can tell!  ;)
Before they left the next day, we tried our best to capture the "perfect" photo.  But, that was hard!  I got a few good ones.

I love the photos of these two boys and their baby girls! They have come a long way since I met them WAY back in 1995-1996!  Being proud Daddies to these sweet girls definitely agrees with both of them.

Jillian:  What's so funny over there?

Love this one!!  :)

Sweet, Sweet Babies!

As I was going through the pictures of my phone, I couldn't help but squeal when I saw the photos of these precious babies that I am honored to get photos of from time to time.  They have to be two of the cutest little things around!!

Baby J, my hat looks SO much better on YOU, sweet cheeks!

14 weeks and counting!  Precious doesn't even describe her!

Nothing is better than a baby in her Clemson attire!  Baby J, you keep rockin' that orange flower headband!! I. LOVE. IT.  I see that little shirt peeking out with your name appliqued on it.  You can't hide a little fashion diva!

Loved this one, too, of Jillian with her Daddy.  Well, all except the Gamecock mirror reflecting in the background....UGH!    :)  Just teasing, Gamecock friends!

And, look at this little sweetie!!  Baby Lucy, my niece, who I have YET to hold wearing an outfit that I bought for her big sister several years ago.  Gotta love those Terry cheeks and that Terry chin!!  Can't wait to get my hands on this newest little precious angel baby!!
