First Clemson Game

We finally decided to take Kamdyn in to a football game this week. She's been to the tailgates quite a few times, but never actually in to a game. The weather was almost as perfect as it could get for a toddler and this was a game that wasn't as crowded as most. Kamdyn had lots of fun at the tailgate. She LOVED the table of food because that's how she likes to eat......a little bit, ALL day. She grazed at the table and sampled all of the foods that were there. She kept saying throughout the morning, "I'm ready to go to the football game. Where are the Clemson Tigers?" I'm not sure that she quite knew what to expect, but she was excited nevertheless. She was perfect the entire day and I was glad that she got to spend some time with our friends. She rarely gets to see them because we all live at least two hours away from each other.

You will see from the pictures below what a great time that she had. She was exhausted by the time that we got to the game. Nanny and Pop Pop met us outside the game at halftime to pick her up. Otherwise, I'm not sure she would have stayed in such a great mood much past halftime.

What a great weekend! We'll be packing up again on Thursday to do it all over again next weekend. Next weekend will end our four home game marathon! My house may finally get cleaned. :)

We made Kamdyn her own "island." The grass was still very wet and she did not need to play in the sand yet. She was content putting the beanbags into the corn hole board while staying on her "island."


Go Hoosiers! Matthew's girlfriend, Holly, is from Indiana and went to IU. Since Kamdyn's Mommy didn't realize how cold it would be that morning, she didn't pack Kamdyn a sweater or jacket. This was about the best that we could do to keep her warm!


How many Clemson grads does it take to fix a generator? Apparently, more that we had at our tailgate! :) Instead of the generator, we had to revert back to the olden days of powering our TV's and radio on car batteries! Thankfully, the crisis was averted! I mean, how could we survive a 16 hour tailgate without two high definition TV's? Some of us girls were secretly praying that the batteries went dead early!!


Potter and Carrie brought Kamdyn two pinwheels to keep her occupied. They were, of course, orange and purple! They did keep her occupied for about an hour. Then, she was off exploring other things!


Kamdyn was taking turns sitting in people's laps while covering up with a tablecloth in order to stay warm. Here she is with Patrick. Check out her fingernails. We painted her fingernails and her toenails orange. Yep, she's a girly girl!!! She sat so perfect while she waited on them to dry. She did not want to mess them up!

As I said, the pinwheels only occupied her for about an hour. Then, she started entertaining herself and everyone else with other things!

Yep, I thought the weather was perfect for a toddler. We were deceived and were sweating immediately. There's seriously a 10 degree change in temperature when you step into that stadium. HOT!!!!

Deep in thought as she watched the beginning of the game. This didn't last long because........


........she was out like a light and slept on her Daddy's leg for the entire first half. She NEVER falls asleep like this especially with this much commotion going on around her. I couldn't believe it! She was exhausted and HOT!!! Check out the yellow fan that we were using to keep her cool. What a fun day for such a good little Tiger!
