This is a little peek into our afternoon when Daddy comes home from work. Kamdyn runs to the door to show off her pigtails and hairbows to her Daddy. Seeing his face as she runs to meet him is beyond what any words can describe. She reads to Eebee, who she is fascinated with all of a sudden, and she sits and reads with Daddy. Does life get any better than this? I'm not sure it does!

Goodbye to Summer
While Kamdyn and I enjoy our last week together for this summer, I am both sad and happy. I am sad that I won't get to see her all-day-everyday and witness each new word and accomplishment. Instead, I will be hearing much of these accomplishments second-hand. But, I am happy and blessed to be able to spend so much time with her each summer (thank you, Richard). I love working, don't get me wrong, and I'm not sure that my "calling" is being a stay-at-home Mom; however, I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with Kamdyn this summer.
Instead of spending all of my time with my own baby, I will be spending much of my day "raising" children who come from various family structures. While I feel blessed to be a part of the lives of these children, whom I truly believe need me, I do feel a little sad that I will be missing so much of my own child's day-to-day life. Thank God for Georgia! I know that Kamdyn is loved beyond words by Georgia and her family and we are so very lucky to have them in our lives. Even still, I can't help but be a little sad. So, pray for Kamdyn and me as we adjust to being without each other in the next couple of weeks. I'm sure she will be fine and will have no problem waving "bye bye" to me each morning as I drop her off at Georgia's, nor will she have a problem refusing to leave Georgia's when I pick her up each afternoon. As for Mommy, a few tears may fall, but thank God for all of the many blessings in my life! I have absolutely nothing to complain about.....not even my job!!!

I Help, Mommy!
Kamdyn frequently helps us put dirty clothes in the clothes hamper. While this is great, it's not so great when I get ready to do laundry. I separate our clothes on our bedroom floor by color. As quickly as I take them out of the clothes hamper to seperate them, Kamdyn desperately tries to put them back saying, "basket" and "I help" all the while. I guess she thinks it's a game! I try to make her understand that it's okay for them to be out of the hamper at certain times, but it's just not computing yet. Here is Mommy's little helper working away as I run off to put one load in the washing machine. This is what I find her doing when I come back!

I Ready!
I gave Kamdyn one of my old "purses," as Kamdyn calls them. She loves to put one of my old cell phones and her keys inside her purse, zip it up, walk to the door and say, "I ready! Bye bye!" She loves to go, go, go just as much as I do. Daddy is going to be in trouble when Kamdyn is old enough to want to go shopping!!

Here she is trying to put the keys in the door, too! I love sneaking up on her to document all of these new "baby tricks!"

Brushing Teeth
After sitting on the counter almost everyday and watching me brush my teeth, I decided that it was time for Kamdyn to start brushing her own teeth. Since it has taken her so long to actually get teeth, this was previously not an issue. However, now it seems as if she has a new tooth everyday. When I brush my teeth she copies me by pretending that she is spitting. Now that she has her own toothbrush, she loves to brush her own teeth. She takes the toothbrush out of the holder, she can hold it under the water, brush her own teeth, and then put the toothbrush back in the holder. She can also say "brush teeth." Here she is showing off her new skill!

UNCLE
We spent the weekend at the Black River with friends. NaNa and Pop Pop came down to North Augusta to keep Kamdyn for us (much thanks)! Uncle Matthew and Holly drove down from Atlanta to ride with us. This is Kamdyn reading with Uncle Matthew before he and Holly went back to Atlanta.
