Power Wheels with Lucca

Some neighborhood kiddos were selling cookies and lemonade at the bus stop the other day.  It was a happening place around 4:00.  Lucca drove her Dora Jeep up and Karcie could not wait to take a turn riding with Lucca.  So many kids in our neighborhood have these cars.  It has been hilarious watching their parents teach them how to drive them.  These kiddos do some serious over-correcting and end up everywhere except where their parents want them to be.  Lucca has had a lot of practice and seems to have the hang of it.  My girl would LOVE one of these.  And I think it's about time that she get a BIG gift of her own that hasn't been handed down from Kamdyn.....STAY TUNED!!  Her birthday is May 27th!!

Mr. Chris was trying to keep them from going in reverse off the sidewalk into the road.

Alas, off the curb they go!!

And into the road.  I'm following from behind and Ms. Jen, Lucca's Mom, is in the corner coming towards them.  :)  Good times in the Dora Jeep!!

Miss Personality!!

This little one's personality is BIG!  She's funny! She has an independent mind of her own.  This is how she dressed at the lake a few weeks ago.  Shorts with short sleeved t-shirt, fleece jacket, her floaty, and rain boots that her Daddy so lovingly duct taped so we wouldn't have to buy a new pair.  I love it!!  (EXCEPT when I am trying to get her to wear something that I NEED her to wear.  Then, it's not such a pretty sight!!)  She is strong-willed.  She NEVER backs down....more persistent than any child I've ever seen! She makes my heart melt with her beautiful smile and she gives the BEST.  HUGS.  EVER.

Sleepover!

Kamdyn invited Ava over the spend the night since Ava wouldn't be able to make her party the following weekend.  Richard couldn't wait to see the garage at the lake so he headed up there with the boat in tow on Friday night.  We enjoyed having Ava over!  The girls played.  We had tacos for dinner.  They watched a movie and had cotton candy ice cream for dessert....WITH caramel sauce and sprinkles!!

The next day both Kamdyn and Karcie had separate birthday parties to attend.  It was hectic, but once both parties were over we made our way to the lake to meet Richard.

Life is busy, but grand!!

Cute Little Garage

Richard had a two-car garage built at the lake house.  We had a tricky time figuring out it's placement and size with all of the restrictions we had.  After getting approval for a variance, we were able to move forward with the project.  It didn't take long at all and it turned out to be a perfect little garage for the boat, golf cart, tools, and other lake house "junk" we may have!  We were happy to have the boat out of our third car garage at home.  Now it's open and Richard has a great workspace there, too!!

My most favorite part of this project is the driveway....it's not concrete, but the gravel is WAY better than the mud driveway that we previously had.

Cheers to a great Spring/Summer at the lake house this year!!  Come visit us!!

Campbell

A few weeks ago, Campbell's little brother, Declan, had a BAD stomach virus.  He got sick in the car when Colleen was taking Cade and Campbell to school.  She had to take his entire car seat apart and clean her car.  Needless to say, she couldn't get all of that cleaned and dried by the time she had to pick Campbell up from preschool.  So.....she asked me to pick her up!!  Karcie was thrilled!!  I offered to take them to lunch at Chick-fil-A to give Colleen more time to clean and so that Campbell would be exposed as little as possible.  These two little sweeties ate their chicken nuggets and played a while.  Then, they wanted to trade their toy for an ice cream.  Look who else we found there????  Mr. Matt and Porter from our neighborhood were there so we chatted with them for a while.  I am so happy that Karcie has such a sweet little neighborhood friend.  We are going to miss Campbell so much next year when she starts Kindergarten and is at school for the entire day.

Karcie's Dance Observation

The Moms got to go inside and watch at dance a few weeks ago.  I love how far these sweet little dancers have come this year.  We absolutely love Ms. Scarlette and Ms. Tina.  We hate that we will have to switch teachers next year.  We hope that Karcie's new teacher is just as great!!

Take a look at this cute little thing in action!!  ;)

St. Patrick's Day

St. Patrick's Day came and went before I could even think about it.  However, we did manage to throw some cute activities in the midst of the craziness.  I pulled out my school St. Patrick's Day box and let Karcie do some of the activities I had in there.  We read some of my books.  We made their teachers a special St. Paddy's Day goody basket.  We dressed in green!  That silly leprechaun used all four of the toilets in our house.  YUCK!!  He also sent the girls on a fun little scavenger hunt to look for some gold!  Campbell joined the girls for the scavenger hunt when Kamdyn got home from school.  It was a super fun day!  I hope the girls know how lucky I feel to be their Mom!!

Nanny and Georgie Visit!

We got a double dose of love a few weekends ago when both Nanny and Georgia decided to come visit.  They arrived early on Friday.  We checked Kamdyn out of school early and headed to the mall to shop.  Kamdyn needed new spring school clothes so Nanny loaded her up with some fantastic cuteness for her birthday.  We all had a great time!  Karcie got a few cute outfits herself although she really needs nothing with all of the hand-me-downs we have from Kamdyn.

They played on the mall playground even though I was terrified of the germs.  I'm much better than I was when Kamdyn was little.

We also had an early birthday celebration for Kamdyn since Nanny and Georgia wouldn't be here for her actual birthday.  Georgia and Kamdyn made this beautifully delicious cake.  Georgia is so talented.  She taught Kamdyn how to make rosette flowers all around the outside.  Kamdyn was pretty good at it!!  We were sad to see them leave, but we always love to have them here to spend some time with us!

Little Sister had to have a turn to blow out the candles, too!
