Summer Fun

After the boat races this past Saturday, we went to visit some friends in Evans.  I drove Richard, Kamdyn, Karcie, Bart, and Mike to the party.  They were in no shape for driving after a long day watching the boat races.  Bart and Mike had to ride in the very cramped 3rd row seat in my car.  Not only did they have to sit back there, but they had to climb over the seat from the back because the girls were already in their car seats.  It was a sight to see!  Sadly, I do not have any photos of this.  It was hilarious!  We had a great time celebrating Eden's 3rd birthday while also enjoying some adult time.

Enjoying my first daiquiri since having Karcie.  It was DELICIOUS!  For some reason Richard thought it was funny that I was holding a drink and Karcie.  :)

Kamdyn was so brave on the water slide and we were so surprised!  She is really getting brave in her "old" age!

Climbing up again for another turn.

Yay Kamdyn!!

Backsplash

My husband is awesome!  He can fix and/or do just about any kind of home improvement project.  And while the mess while he is completing a project is atrocious, the end product is always worth it!  I love our new glass tile back-splash!  Thank you, sweet!

The Faces of Karcie

Karcie has really started smiling, oohing, and ahhing in the past couple of weeks.  I LOVE when she gives me that huge grin and a loud OOH when I go to her crib in the mornings.  She is precious!!  Speaking of crib, our little girl has been in her crib for over two weeks now.  She is sleeping through the night!  WOO HOO!  The longest so far has been from 8:00-6:30.  Awesome for me!!

New Friends

Kamdyn had a playdate with Emma Kate who will be in her Kindergarten class this year.  We met at Chic-fil-A and the girls had a great time.  At least Kamdyn will have one friend at her new school!!

Beach Trip

On our way to the beach!

We decided at the last minute the Wednesday after 4th of July to go to the beach for a few days.  Ruthie was able to reserve a beautiful house for us.  Thank you, Ruthie!  We were hesitant to take Karcie, but we didn't want Kamdyn to miss out completely on the beach this year so we decided to go for it and hope for the best.  Karcie did great and Kamdyn had such a good  time.  We are already making plans for next year's week long beach trip!  Karcie will be walking and all over the place by then!

The house where we stayed.

Beautiful kitchen!

Sitting area #1....notice Karcie checking out the couch on the right as soon as we arrived!

Sitting Area #2 Upstairs

Kitchen upstairs

Our bedroom....LOVED the KING SIZED bed!  Purchasing one of these is next on my list!

Karcie's room....we took her bassinet.  She decided that she would start sleeping through the night while we were here!  YAY for Karcie and YAY for Mommy!

Kamdyn's room.  Daddy even shared her room with her one night.

Nanny's room!  I called begging Nanny to take a day off of work and join us.  Her boss was gracious and she was able to come, relax, and have fun with us!

Master bath in Nanny's room.

Sitting Area #3.

We dressed Karcie in her swimsuits and took her to the pool two different days.

Love this look!

She did great!  In fact, she slept the entire time.

Kamdyn enjoyed the water slide again this year, but had to warm up to it again.  First, Daddy had to go with her.

Then, he had to catch her.  Next, she was going down on her own.  By the end of the week, she was going down on her own without swimmies!  :)

Sweet Karcie!  We went back to the house everyday for lunch and so both babies could get a nap!

Dinner one night from OLDFIELD and it was delicious!

Kamdyn's dinner!  :)

The menu from our dinner.....we had one of each of these and shared them!  Kamdyn decided that she didn't know what any of this was so she would stick to her macaroni and cheese! :)

Karcie was ready for Day #2 at the pool!

She has been smiling at ton here lately.  She finally recognizes us and melts our hearts with that precious toothless grin!  She is such a good baby!

Laughing out loud!

Relaxing by the pool!  She would fall asleep each morning on our golf cart ride over to the pool!

Sweet Sisters!

Daddy coming back from fishing and Kamdyn coming back from the pool!

The house had a pool table and Kamdyn enjoyed learning how to play!

She challenged each of us to a game of pool.....including Ruthie!

Nanny didn't babysit the entire time.  She had a day to herself.  She went to Savannah to explore and even had lunch at Paula Deen's Restaurant.

We enjoyed the beach for one day when we were able to have a babysitter for Karcie.  Ruthie kept Karcie for us.  Thank you so much!!

I think they were making some kind of "deal!"

My beautiful tall and skinny big girl!

All pooped out!

We relaxed at the beach.  We enjoyed lunch at a beach side restaurant at the Westin!  The three of us had a great time!

I had to force a photo shoot with Mommy on the last night to prove that I was actually at the beach!  I am always so busy taking photos that I rarely get to be in them!  :)  I love my sweet Kamdyn!  She looks so grown up!

Attempting a photo with both girls!  Kamdyn was interested in being silly!

There we go....now Karcie is crying!  Oh well!

Kamdyn spent the night with Ruthie our last night.  So, Richard, Karcie and I had to take a family photo without Kamdyn.  We had such a great time!  I can't wait until we get to enjoy a week long vacation next year with a toddler and 6 year old!  :)

We left the beach on my birthday.  We picked Kamdyn up at Ruthie's on our way home.  They had gotten up early to complete this masterpiece for me on the driveway at Ruthie's.  I was so surprised to see it as we drove in!  So sweet and thoughful!  Thank you, Ruthie and Kamdyn!
