30 Weeks

Yesterday was my 30 week mark!! Woo! Hoo!  This pregnancy has really gone quickly!  I really do not have any major complaints except for an occasional ache and pain.  My hips have been particularly stubborn here lately.  Depending on which side I am sleeping, my hip will fall asleep.  The next morning they tend to ache for a few hours until I get up and moving.  I find myself to be REALLY exhausted by 9:00 PM!  It's hard enough when I'm not pregnant to chase 20 four year olds all day at work and then chase around another one when I get home!  Being pregnant adds a whole other dimension to keeping up with these kids!  :)

I am right on target for weight gain....not too little, not too much.  I have gained right at 15 lbs. thus far.  I know that I have at least 4-5 more pounds to gain to accommodate for Baby K who is only about 3 lbs. right now.  She is approximately 15-16 inches long from head to toe!  She is a moving machine as of lately!  I am starting to be able to tell which body parts are taking frequent jabs at my belly.

If she arrives early like her big sister, I only have 6-7 weeks to go!  I can hardly wait!!

Kamdyn attempted to take a few pics.  Unfortunately, she is still learning how to hold the camera straight. :)  I look like I am leaning over!

Daddy had to help out and Kamdyn had to be in the picture!

Finally we got one where I was actually straight and without Kamdyn.

Soccer Videos

Kamdyn practicing.

Playing in the game.....listen to Kamdyn scream!

This is where Kamdyn scored her first goal!  Unfortunately, I was so excited all you hear is me screaming for my baby!  Now I know how my Mom felt all of those years filming my basketball games.  You want to capture the moment, but you don't want to miss the moment!!  Oh well!  Hopefully I will get another chance to film her scoring!

Kinder Kickers

Kamdyn started soccer yesterday morning.  All of us were really excited about this athletic adventure.  We purchased cleats, shin guards, and soccer shorts last weekend in preparation for her big soccer debut.  We have been practicing soccer skills with Kamdyn for a few years, but we weren't sure how she would do with all of those other kids running around her and crowding her space.  And heaven forbid if someone actually bumped into her and hurt her or knocked her down.  Surprisingly, she did GREAT!!

As our luck would have it, Kamdyn is on the orange team and her team is called "The Clash!"  We were happy with orange because pink wasn't even a choice.  Orange was definitely the next best color!  BUT, we do have pink on our cleats and pink on our shin guards!  :)  She and her Daddy talked me out of a bow for this week, but you can rest assured that you will see a soccer bow in her hair soon!

When we arrived all of the jerseys were laid out on the team bench.  Kamdyn and I had a conversation prior to arriving about my number when I played basketball.  I told her that I was number 13, but she could be whatever number she chose.  Kamdyn immediately walked to the #13 jersey and said, "I want this number like my Mommy!"  So sweet!

Not only did she do GREAT, but she scored her very first goal in her very first game!  Can you guess how proud her Mama and Daddy were?  Her team won 6-2.  She was the ONLY girl who scored on both teams.  Each team had about 15 players and about half of them were girls.  I was so excited that I missed it on camera and on video. (see next post with soccer videos)  :(  She dribbled the ball all the way from mid-field with the other children trailing behind her and beside her and kicked it right into the goal!

Richard was awesome, too!  The lady who volunteered to be the coach was a little unsure of what to do.  Richard stepped in and helped her out.  He guided a few soccer drills while the coach ran around taking  care of other things.  He also stood down at the goal with the two goalies so that he could guide them.  I was very proud that he agreed to help!  He always claims that he is not good with children, except his own, but he proved that to be very untrue today!

Pregnant Mama wanted to get out there and run around and help, but was directed to sit down by Coach Daddy!  The teacher in me wants to take over and get all of those 4-year-olds organized.  I sat with the players on the bench who were waiting their turn and I gave them a pep talk.  I also reminded them which way to go and what to do!

The little girl sitting beside Kamdyn was having a hard time leaving her Mom's side.  She was crying hysterically.  I convinced Kamdyn to get her hand and walk her over to where everyone else was.  The little girl immediately stopped crying and went with Kamdyn.  Her Mom thanked me numerous times for encouraging Kamdyn to help her daughter.  My Kamdyn is such a sweetie!

The little boy in the back turned out to be the soccer star on our team.  He scored 4 of our 6 goals.  We could not get over how fast he was!  Needless to say, it only took us a second to figure out that he didn't need to be playing goalie!

Writing

Not only can Kamdyn read most anything these days, but she has really taken an interest in writing and spelling here lately.  We are so very proud of her!

She wrote the date, March 24, 2011.  Then, Love Kamdyn.  Last, I Love Mommy "sweet" Mommy!  She is also very interested in adding and subtracting.  Her addition facts are on the left.  At the bottom she wrote stop!

This is a scribble scrabble picture, as she  calls it.  At the  bottom she wrote, "Sorry I did not do good!"

Baby Shower

I must start this post by saying I LOVE MY SCHOOL and all of the wonderful people that I work with.  I am so blessed to be a part of the LFH Family.

With that being said, my co-workers graciously threw a shower for me.  And even though I didn't need a whole lot since we are having a second girl, they showered me like it was my first!  I was blown away by their generosity!

The Shower was after school and we had it in the Art Room.  They transformed the room into a precious pink baby room!

Table centerpieces and decor. You will see these runners again at Kamdyn's party!  :)

Centerpiece on food table!  PRECIOUS!

Delicious!

Food Table - each grade level volunteered to bring a dish.  Everything was so yummy and was displayed so nicely!

My special chair!

Beautiful flowers out of several yards of my co-workers.

Love my sweet girl!

The gifts......I was blessed with lots of gift cards and such nice gifts!

Mrs. Bailey, (Jacob's Mom, my principal, and my friend) giving Kamdyn some love.  Kamdyn is reading a book, of course!

Mrs. Bailey said such nice things about me and my family.  You know I teared up because I cry over everything sweet!  And, I feel so much gratitude toward Sonya for bringing me to this fabulous school!
She blessed the food and blessed Baby K by praying for a healthy baby and a good sleeper!  :)

Kamdyn helped open gifts!

Having fun at the baby shower even though the gifts weren't for her!  She is going to be such a caring and kind BIG SISTER!  She already is!

Reading to Mommy's Class

Kamdyn came to my school on Thursday to join us for my Baby Shower after school.  I was so surprised that she agreed to read my class a book when I suggested it.  She wasn't shy at all.  I think I need her to come and keep the attention of my class more often.  You could have heard a pin drop!

She read Animals Should Not Wear Clothes.  She amazed them with words like disastrous, porcupine, etc.

Got Nutella?

This kid takes her breakfast of Nutella toast serious!  Usually she is paranoid about making a mess, but with Nutella she can't eat it fast enough!  :)

Good News!

I passed the glucose test and the orange drink wasn't so yucky after all.  It kind of tasted like a bottle of REALLY sugary TANG!  YAY for me!  No modified diets for this pregnant girl!
