Look what Karcie found!!!

Look what she found under her bed?  Thankfully it has a hole in it and she found out that she doesn't like this thing nearly as much as she used to!!  In fact, she's already forgotten that she found it.  :)  WHEW!!

Pap Pap Update

I am still blown away by the "pap pap" incident last night.  She went right to sleep and slept through the night.  In fact, I had to wake her up this morning.  She did make a couple of small noises last night, but went right back to sleep.  I am holding my breath because nap time today wasn't nearly as easy.  I'm not sure if the opposition was due to not having pap pap or the fact that Nanny arrived just before nap time.  Still hoping for a good night tonight and that pap pap is history!  So proud of my little girl!

Goodbye to Pap Pap? Is it time?

We've been talking to Karcie for several days about giving her "pap pap" to Declan, the new baby next door.  She kept shaking her head yes to indicate that she really wanted to give them to him.  I had my doubts and, honestly, I was afraid of the outcome.  Kamdyn mentioned it again today when they saw Mrs. Colleen outside with Baby Declan and crew.  Karcie threw a fit to take her "pap pap" to "Baby Deck Deck!"  Kamdyn ran upstairs and collected ALL of them.  I put them in a zip lock and off we went.  She seemed a little hesitant at first.  Mrs. Colleen played the part perfectly!  After giving them to Declan, Karcie looked at him as if to say, "What are you waiting on?  You need to use those things!  They are important!"

I had Colleen put them on my porch later this evening just in case we need them tonight.  I was pleasantly surprised after story time when Karcie looked in her bed and said, "No pap pap.  Baby Deck Deck."  I covered her up and she snuggled with Elmo instead.  I haven't heard a peep.  But, I'm nervous and kind of sad.  Giving up pap pap means that she is one step further away from being a baby.  She is the last and I'm not ready for all of the baby stages to be gone.  Pray for Karcie and pray for her Mommy!  :(

Pappy Anyone?

Karcie is getting a little curious about the potty; however, she's not really interested in it's intended use.  This is where we found her Pappy the other day along with a screaming Karcie.  YUCK!!

Pappy anyone?

Karcie loves her Pappy and it isn't any secret.  I used to leave them in her bed, but now she only stands beside her crib and fusses to have it.  Usually we give in.  Weak, I know!  Since they had on coordinating outfits, Kamdyn wanted to be funny by having Pappy, too.  As cute as Kamdyn and I thought it was, Karcie wasn't so keen on big sister having her Pappy in her mouth.  She fought hard to get it out of her mouth.  Here's proof....
