We started Kamdyn's track-out with a weekend at the lake. With Richard working out-of-town every week, we really haven't been able to get to the lake as much as we had anticipated. We do try to squeeze a weekend in as much as we can though.
It is becoming such a peaceful place for all of us. The girls plays for hours out in the yard with sticks and rocks and dirt.....all things that require great imagination and pretend play. We love watching them create, dream, and play!
We go on golf cart rides. We eat. We play. We rest. We work on the house. We recharge. We love it!
This particular weekend, we took a pumpkin so that Karcie could help carve one. They really were not interested after we cleaned it out. Pumpkin carving is a grown-up activity! BUT, I like for them to experience it each year. One day they will be able to do it themselves.
We also decided to create our own firepit out of the gazillion rocks that are on our lot. Richard made the base of the firepit with concrete blocks. We (We = Kamdyn and Mommy) stacked rocks all around it. It turned out just fine for what we were wanting at the lake. We hope to get small pebbles dumped into the firepit square and adirondack chairs soon. We are taking baby steps. :)

| Kamdyn and I must have picked up 40 million rocks that day. I think Richard picked up two rocks and Karcie maybe picked up ONE!! Sheesh!! |
| These Google+ videos crack me up! See how hard we were working. |
| Daddy didn't pick up rocks, but he did catch a catfish off the dock. |
| Fire pit! Yay! |
| Gotta fillet that catfish for dinner! |
| While Richard was getting the girls out of the bath, I sneaked outside on the porch with my glass of vino. I pulled my legs up in the chair and sat down really low so they couldn't see me in the chair. They looked all over the house for me. It took them about fifteen minutes to find me. I certainly enjoyed a few peaceful moments with this view, my wine, and Kenny Chesney/Willie Nelson singing to me. |
