The Saturday before Christmas we loaded up the circus along with all of our presents and headed to Anderson....the land of cheap gas!! We are paying $3.31 a gallon here. :( Our first stop was Ruthie's! We enjoyed a nice walk through downtown Anderson. We looked at the giant tree where someone else was apparently mesh crazy this season! All of the ornaments were made out of deco mesh including the giant star-like thing at the top. We checked out The Bleckley Inn. It's a beautiful hotel in downtown Anderson that has recently been renovated. Ruthie surprised Richard and I two nights at The Bleckley. It was beautiful and just right for us. I wanted to move into the HUGE bathroom! The girls stayed down the road with Ruthie and we stayed at the hotel. After ice cream and a trip to Mama Lucy's house to pick up some treasures, we had our Christmas dinner and celebration with Ruthie.
She prepared a delicious Mexican dish that suited Richard to a tee. We opened gifts and enjoyed time spent together. Karcie LOVED her Little Red Riding Hood La-La Loopsy Doll. Kamdyn got beautiful stationary with her name on it!! I got some fabulous new Nike for Jazzercise. Richard got a great 3" memory foam mattress topper that has turned our normal bed into a "never-want-to-get-out-of bed" bed.
We always enjoy our visits with Ruthie and wish that we got to see her more than we do. We love you, Ruthie and thanks a TON for all of our gifts!!
