Thanksgiving with Aunt Kathy and Uncle Jim
We had our first Thanksgiving of the season a few days early. We had a great time visiting with Aunt Kathy, Uncle Jim, and their new dog, Poppy! I'm sure I've mentioned that my girls aren't "animal people." I'm sure I have also mentioned that their parents aren't either. However, the girls did great with the dog. Karcie was a little more adventurous than Kamdyn. (see photos of her petting Poppy) Kamdyn ran around outside away from the dog. Poppy thought she was playing and wrapped her paws around Kamdyn's leg to "play" back. Kamdyn didn't like this game and melted......into a puddle. She was fine though!
Thank you, Kathy and Jim for having us. We are blessed with a great family. And for that, we are grateful!!!

Chic-fil-A kind of day!
Richard went to the game this weekend while the girls and I opted to stay at home to relax. We shopped and enjoyed some Mommy time together. While the cat is away, the mice will play (spend money!) Shh! Don't tell the cat though! *wink*

My favorite President
I don't talk about politics. I just don't. Even though my American Presidential candidate didn't win, this girl surely is my favorite little president. She was tickled red, white, and blue to be chosen as her class President! She insists on wearing this jacket every single day!

Duke Game
All of us decided to head to Durham, NC to see Clemson take on Duke. I have never seen such a small college stadium. The only thing that saved them was that they had fair food. You know, funnel cakes, elephant ears, and some kind of mini doughnuts that must have been to die for because the line to get them was wrapped nearly around the stadium. We had a great time with some of our favorite peeps! It was a great Clemson win, but boy was it cold!!

Pinterest Find
I try to be creative, but I am no artist! This was my latest Pinterest find. I made, drew, and cut out all of this by myself to decorate my classroom door. I am pretty proud of myself because it looks darn close to the one on Pinterest!

Pinkalicious Pumpkin
Kamdyn had a book report/pumpkin project due on Halloween. She, of course, chose Pinkalicious. It has been her favorite book since she was 18 months old. We painted the pumpkin pink, added some yarn hair, a crown, and a Mommy-made pink tu-tu. She presented her pumpkin along with her book and book report. I didn't get across the hall to see this presentation, but her teacher was kind enough to send me a few photos!

Halloween in RiverNorth
Our neighbors are always so kind to invite all of the neighbors and children over to their firepit for pizza, snacks, drinks, and fun each Halloween. After we socialize and eat, the children load up on the hayride and trick-or-treat through the neighborhood. Since it was so cold this year, Karcie and I rushed home so that they could make a trick-or-treat stop at our house! When the children ran up our front steps it seriously sounded like the house was falling in. Karcie couldn't understand why she couldn't leave with them. She cracked me up the entire night when she saw someone with a mask or with their face painted. She would look at them, give them angry eyebrows, and shake her head "no" frantically! We certainly are blessed with great neighborhood friends!

LFH School Carnival
We were finally able to attend our school carnival this year. For the past three years it has fallen on a Clemson home game weekend. Kamdyn had a ball. Even Karcie went along for the ride. By ride, I mean that she had to stay contained in her stroller for the event. I NEVER would have been able to keep up with her!
Kamdyn and Emory Kate, one of my precious Kindergarteners this year!
Kamdyn and EK playing horseshoes.
They had tons of slides and jumpy castles.
Kamdyn and her friend Emma Kate a.k.a. VEGAS! WE love her and her BIG personality!
Go Fish!!
