This post should be entitled "VERA" because she really was the feature attraction of our trip to Atlanta. She is precious and I have officially labeled myself as a baby hog. I wanted to hold her the entire time, but I did share because there were lots of others who were anxious about getting their hands on Vera, too. I did get a glimpse or two of what life is going to be like with two. Even though I know that Kamdyn is going to be such a BIG help to us, it will still be a challenge especially where sleep is concerned those first few weeks. Kamdyn was very sweet with Vera and didn't seem to mind the attention that Vera was getting. I was happy to see that because Kamdyn has been the center of attention in our family for almost 5 years. She was good at sharing and was so very sweet with Vera!
We had such a great time with our family and we can't wait to see Vera again!
Look at this perfect angel!!
Richard couldn't wait to hold Vera! I remember the days when he would run the other direction when someone asked if he wanted to hold a baby! He's a pro!
We're ready for Baby #2!
Aunt Kathy with Baby Vera.
Mama Lucy with her two Great Granddaughters!
I guess Vera needed to stretch. Look at that red face!
So perfect and peaceful!
Kamdyn showing Aunt Holly what Vera should do with her new Taggie Doll that we got her.
Uncle Matthew with Vera's new outfit!
Vera's new hooded towel from us!
Uncle Matthew got a new Clemson cooler! :)
And, it was definitely a sock monkey Christmas. A sock monkey from Sandy and a Clemson sock monkey from us!
A sock monkey from Bob and Jane Potter.
Richard trying out the cooler as a chair while attempting to watch the Clemson game....if you can call it a game!
Aunt Holly playing with the modeling dough that she got Kamdyn.
Kamdyn reading Vera a story out of Vera's new Dr. Seuss book.
So sweet!
Kamdyn talked all of them into playing her new Pictureka game!
Kamdyn finally got her chance to hold Baby Vera! She is a proud cousin!
I had to rescue Vera!

Until next time, Nanny!
Nanny left on Thursday. On her way out, we enjoyed lunch at Ruby's Tuesdays. I seem to be craving a whole lot of salads here lately!
We miss you already, Nanny!
Kamdyn got the camera and took a photo of Mommy and Daddy!

18 Weeks and Counting!
I am officially 18 weeks and I am almost half-way there!
1. Yes, I have a little baby bump.
2. Yes, I have started wearing maternity pants, but not maternity shirts.
3. No, we do not know what we are having yet, but we did get a sneak peak a few weeks ago. We will wait for the final word on January 17th!! I am so ready to know. January 17th can't get here fast enough!!
4. I have finally gotten some energy back. I feel like I have turned the corner and I am over that yucky cold/sinus infection!
Big Sister still wants a baby sister!
Mommy and Daddy want a healthy baby, but secretly I think I REALLY want a boy. I will be happy with either though! :)

Where's my Pic-a-Nic Basket, Boo Boo?
Nanny came down after Christmas and treated Georgia, Jacob, Kamdyn, and I to lunch and a movie. We had lunch at O'Charley's (Kamdyn's choice) and we went to see Yogi Bear. We all had such a great time! Kamdyn adores Jacob and has now decided that she is "going to get married with Jacob one day!"
The two sweeties with their favorite babysitter!
Posing outside of O'Charley's.
Walking to the movie together.
Georgia and Nanny with the kids.
Posing with Alvin and the Chipmunks after the movie.

Christmas Day 2010
Kamdyn only asked for a dollhouse! Looks like Santa thought that she deserved a lot more!
Kamdyn got in her sleeping bag immediately!
She's been asking for overalls since she was 2. Santa was finally able to find a big girl pair!
Sleepy eyed playing with her doll hosue!
Daddy was sweet enough to sleep with Kamdyn on Christmas Eve. Unfortunately, he didn't get nearly enough sleep. Kamdyn is a bed hog and LOVES to snuggle!
Ooooh! Where's your happy face, Kamdyn?
There's Ruthie's happy face!
Kamdyn's couldn't wait to get on those skates!
She did really well!
Mama Lucy gave her a little help!
Table is set....where's the food?
Skating outside with Daddy.
So sweet!
LOVE the outfit, Kamdyn!
Aunt Kathy and Uncle Jim came over on Christmas Day. This is a scrapbook kit from them. Unfortunately, I didn't get any photos. I need to hire someone to take my place when I am too busy! UGH! Fortunately, we get to have one more day of Christmas on this Friday with Uncle Matthew, Aunt Holly, and Baby Vera along with Ruthie, Aunt Kathy, and Uncle Jim. We were so sad that we missed Vera's baptism due to the snow on Sunday. We tried so hard to get to Atlanta, but only made it about 30 miles before our cars started sliding. Unfortunately, we had to turn around. :(
Merry Christmas until next year!

Christmas Eve 2010
Christmas Eve was spent with Nanny, Pop Pop, Ruthie, and Mama Lucy at our house. We enjoyed a simple spaghetti dinner and then dove into all of the presents. After looking at all of the photos from that night, I see where I get my constant need to run around. Nanny never sat down. She was too busy collecting trash or handing our presents. I never got a clear picture of her! :(
Ruthie opening her new electric wine opener.
Trying to read and figure out how it works.
Kamdyn has been asking for Twinkle Toe shoes FOREVER! Although I find them to be quite obnoxious, I finally allowed her to get them for Christmas. Thanks, Ruthie!
Kamdyn giving Ruthie a big hug for her Twinkle Toes. There's Nanny in the background running around!
Kamdyn giving Mama Lucy a great big hug! I love this!!
Since she was giving out hugs, she stopped and gave Pop Pop one, too!
Another pillow pet......this time a unicorn.
YAY! Operation!
Daddy got some new shoes!
Sprinkling reindeer food outside!
See, Nanny was there! She was filming!
Kamdyn decided that she wanted Santa to have snowmen and Christmas Tree cookies this year. It worked for me because that was EASY!! ( Love those Twinkle Toes!)
She is so meticulous!
Quick family shot.
Only one more cotton ball to go before Christmas!.
Santa's cookies and milk are ready!
Good-bye to Tick Tock until next year!
