Hilton Head - Day 6 Pottery and Crabs

We headed to the Art Cafe somewhat early on this day.  Kamdyn has been to the Art Cafe several times on previous Hilton Head vacations.  So, she was insistent on going back.  I was worried about Karcie and how she would do, but she loved it.  She painted a bowl like big sister painted several years ago.  I love seeing their creativity and the colors that they choose.  It was super fun!

Afterwards we finally got our Mexican lunch.  It was delish, but the servings could feed several people.  Needless to say, my burrito was also my dinner that night!

Later that day, the boys decided to take the big girls crabbing.  While they were crabbing, Ruthie, Holly, Lucy, and I hit a few shops and we took Lucy to the playground.  We got a phone call shortly after asking us to come pick up the kids.  They weren't enjoying it.....to the point of Karcie tears.  When we arrived to rescue the girls, Karcie was up by the car all by herself sitting on a bench crying.  She said, "Why did it take you so long?"  I guess crabbing is NOT her thing.  Richard and Matthew stayed a while longer and Ruthie went back to get them.  Richard may or may not have let a crab get away!  (there is a funny video to prove it!)

That evening Holly and I celebrated Cinco (Seis) de May a day late. We enjoyed margaritas on the porch.  It was super relaxing because we fed the kids ice cream and let them watch a movie so they would be occupied,  ;)

Daddy helping Kamdyn

My little lefty painting with her right hand.  I was so surprised that she chose yellow for her bowl color. Generally she's a pink girl like the rest of us.

I love Lucy!!  No shoes, no shirt, no problems!!

Sweet, meticulous Ve getting some help on her ornament.

Lucy thought she was big stuff painting with the big girls!

Love this one!

Mommy helping her girl....when she would let me!!

Love this sweet, tenacious girl to pieces!!

My perfectionist!

I love how she takes her time with everything she does!

Painting the bottom.

Writing Kamdyn's name on the bottom.  She was having a hard time because the space was so small.

So sweet!

My smiley, beautiful girl and cute little Vera who is in deep thought!

Two of the cutest little tikes that I know!!  Their cuteness will forever keep them out of trouble!

Crabbing

I think she was the only one of the girls who even semi enjoyed this trip!

Guess who loved it the most????

I think Matthew did, too!

So we gave the girls a bath because their feet, legs, and hands were covered in plough mud.  We fed them dinner and told them that if they smiled sweetly for a photo that they could all have ice cream.  It worked....KIND OF!!  Love these four precious little girl so much!!

ICE CREAM TIME!!

Ice cream....YIPPEE!!

Could she get any cuter??
Then, I let my kids jump on the bed!

Somebody is having fun!!

Cheers to being sisters-in-law!  I got a good one!!

I don't think I really want to do this!

Ew....whose idea was this??

Yep, I'm definitely WAY too old!  YUCK!!

Hilton Head Day 5 - Cinco de Mayo

Cinco de Mayo started off with manicures by Aunt Holly.  She promised the girls gold fingernails and they didn't let her forget.  :)

Then, we headed down to a very windy beach to fly kites.  Sadly, I do not have many kite photos because I was flying a kite.  Matthew had to rig my kite with two kid flip flops on the tail so that it was stay upright and in the air.  It was hilarious!  People walking by had to do a double take to figure out what was hanging from the kite.

After getting pelted with sand for a while, we decided to throw in the towel and go inside.  It was just too chilly.  Richard and Matthew took the big girls to the park.  Lucy napped and I enjoyed some wonderful alone time by the pool.

We attempted dinner at a Mexican Restaurant that night to celebrate, but the wait was just too long.  We ended up at another restaurant and all was just fine.  Matthew ordered dessert and was giving Kamdyn a hard time saying that her Daddy never orders dessert and to come have some of his.  I wish the spoon photo wasn't blurry!

Before we got in the car, I took some photos of Richard with his girls.  It was a fun night!!

Sweet, chilly girl!

Dora kite flying high in the sky!

Lunch on the beach was challenging with the wind.

"Here's what you do to get your Dad to order dessert for you...."

Yummy!

Love these!!
