Hilton Head Day 4 - Fishing Trip

Richard and Matthew went fishing on this day for pretty much the entire day.  All of us girls started our day at the indoor pool where it felt like a sauna inside.  We were the only people there and the sun was shining.  It's against everything in me to be inside at the beach when the sun is shining beautifully.  So, we moved our circus to the outdoor pool where we discovered that the water was definitely NOT heated anymore.  It was freezing.  No one would get in.  I think Kamdyn and Karcie got in for a few minutes.  But, we just hung out by the pool until lunch time enjoying the sunshine and each other.

After lunch, I took the three big girls down to the beach while Lucy napped.  Ruthie joined us shortly after and helped the girls catch these fiddler crabs.  It was kind of comical.  None of them wanted to touch them.  But they certainly loved catching them with their shovels.

After nap time, Holly and Lucy came down to the beach, too.  These girls played in the tide pool for the rest of the afternoon until we lazily made our way back to the condo for baths.  We ordered  take-out again because the boys were late getting in.  They have some super fun fishing photos, but I guess they will have to make guest appearances on their blogs to showcase their fun.

Day 4 was another fun and relaxing day!

The only fish pic that was sent to me. There are more.....BUT, those boys have to share them. :)

I think these two girls were in a posing competition!!

Hilarious!!

No idea what she is doing here!!

Chasing those crabs.

Vera got another one.

A bucket full of crabs in their shells.  Vera looks as if one is about to jump out and get her!!

Our attempt at another cousin photo!  Lucy was still trying to get turned around.

Where are you, Lucy?

She has almost made it.

There she is!!  Kamdyn and Vera, the camera is THIS way!!  Another failed attempt with all four smiling and looking at the camera.

Hilton Head Day 3 - On the Pontoon

Today we rented a pontoon so that we could cruise around Hilton Head.  We had the boat for four hours and enjoyed our time in the sun.  Karcie slept the entire ride.  Kamdyn and Vera looked for dolphins.  They literally came right up to the boat.  Richard was a great captain.  Ruthie was so great take on an entire week of craziness that goes along with four children.  Sadly, Little Lucy and Holly didn't make our boating trip.  Lucy was not 100% that morning when we left.  She had sunscreen in her eyes and was mad as a hornet and rightfully so.  She was happy as could be by the time that we returned.  Her eyes were good as new after a nice long nap.

Later that afternoon, Holly insisted that Karcie open her birthday gifts from them.  She got a nerf dart gun.  Yes, we needed ANOTHER one!  Now we can have wars.  Karcie also got a Doc McStuffins house that quickly became the toy of choice for the little girls in the house.  Turns out that we needed three Docs and three Lambies to keep everyone happy.  Let's just say that the house "disappeared" a time or two during the week.

Thank you Florida Terrys for Karcie's gifts.  She loves them!!

Yay for Day 3!!

Giggling Vera!

The Captain!

Kamdyn was trying to take a nap.

Karcie's nap time was VERY successful.  She slept almost the entire four hours.  Crazy!!

My rest time was right here!!

My girl looking for dolphins!

Sweet VeVe and Kamdyn

Trying to get a nap again on Ruthie.

And now Vera is down.  Who knew that all we needed was a LONG boat ride to put children to sleep.

Two sleeping beauties!

On our way back to the dock, these two needed some Matthew snuggles.

Precious profile!

I love my big girl!!

It's a NERF gun!!

Surprised Karcie with her Doc McStuffins house!!

Hilton Head Day 2

Everyone woke up in terrific moods on Day 2 and we were ready to try out the pool and the beach.  The pool was heated for the first day and was bearable for the kids.  After that, they refused to swim because it was too cold.  :(  They did enjoy playing in the sand at the beach though.

After a day of fun in the sun we decided to load this circus up and have dinner out.  Richard chose the restaurant and it was delicious!!  It was wonderful southern style seafood.

Afterwards, we sat these girls down on a bench to try to attempt a cousin photo.  2,643 photos later, we had a few that were keepers.  Trying to get all of them to look at the camera and smile all at once was next to impossible.  Kamdyn finally put her hands up in the air at one point wondering how long she was going to have to sit there, smile, AND look at the camera while her two precious little cousins and baby sister wiggled and did anything but what we asked them to do.  It was quite comical!!  Their personalities are BIG!!

Sweet Lucy and Kamdyn watching the IPad.  If you wanted to get Lucy still and get some loving from her, you had to have a device.  Otherwise, we had to steal those hugs and kisses from her!

Karcie and Vera playing so sweetly together.  Don't be fooled.  There were plenty of disagreements to go around over toys!

Karcie digging in the sand attempting to make a sandcastle.

Holly and Matthew down at the water with all of the girls!

Playing catch with Vera.

Ooops!!  Vera dropped the ball!

Little Lucy was just minding her own business.....unless there was a sandcastle to be stomped on.  ;)

Holly and I enjoyed a delicious watermelon beverage!

And now the fun begins!!

Wiggle Worms!!

These make me laugh so hard!!  Look how Kamdyn barely moves.   The other three seriously have ants in their pants!!

"OH, COME ON!!" yells Kamdyn!

Everybody's hands up......well, almost everyone's!

And this was the best one of the bunch!  These four girls crack me up!

Hilton Head Day 1

We arrived in Hilton Head on a Friday afternoon.  We were the last to arrive.  We spent the afternoon/evening catching up with each other.  We ordered take-out for dinner and let the girls play.  We were all super excited to see each other.  I don't even remember the last time that these cousins were together....I guess Christmas.

Storytime with Kamdyn!

Wow!  Do 4-year-olds sit still very much???

This view was gorgeous and hard to leave after a week!
