Ruthie and Myrtle Beach

Our family vacation was a little earlier than normal due to Kamdyn's new year-round school schedule.  I thought May would be a perfect time weather wise for a beach trip.  Turns out this was the coldest May in history......just our luck.  We made the most of our trip.  The first few days were chilly, rainy, and dreary.  We were all trying to put on our happy face, but were growing irritated by Tuesday morning when the sun finally decided to show it's rays.  This was, of course, the day that Ruthie was leaving.  :(  She stayed from Saturday through Tuesday and we packed all that we could into those few days.

We went to the arcade down at the Pavillion.  It's not the same, but it will do.  :)  We had lunch on Cinco de Mayo at a beach front Mexican Restaurant.  We had to have our margarita on that day!  We watched it rain for a while at lunch while sitting under the patio, but then decided that Putt Putt was a must.  Karcie was due for a nap, but we skipped it in an attempt to lift everyone's weather spirits.  We chased Karcie while attempting to have a friendly game of Putt Putt.  Richard won, but Ruthie was a VERY close second.  I wouldn't challenge her to Putt Putt if I were you.  She's pretty good!!

We enjoyed having Ruthie there with us for a few days.  It was short of a Pre-Mother's Day Celebration!

Playing skee ball.

Karcie looks scared to death of Clifford!

You can imagine how this went!!  Karcie through the ball across several lanes.  :)

Kamdyn was finally getting the hang of it!

Karcie thinks she played ALL of the games!!  Shh!  Don't tell her that we didn't put tokens in.

She even "rode" this motorcycle.

A friendly game of air hockey.

Love this place and thankful that it's still there!

Margarita time!

I guess Karcie was thirsty, too!

Then we were off to play Putt Putt.

Thankfully, they gave Karcie a plastic club.  She swung that thing EVERYWHERE!!

Sweet Kamdyn with the alligator.

Uh, hum.......this dude was the winner, but his competitive girls weren't far behind!!

Karcie did a lot of climbing and running!  It was fun!
We made a mad dash to the beach on Tuesday morning we woke to beautiful blue skies and sunshine!

This little cutie LOVED the sand!

They played so well together this year.

Ruthie was probably trying to convince Karcie that she didn't need to go down to the ocean for the one millionth time!

See, we already have water in your bucket!

So cute!
