Disney with cousins!

After the beach we drove to Orlando for 2 days at Magic Kingdom! In this picture we were just about to leave for our first day! This is probably the only picture where we got everyone to smile! Notice how the ears on my shirt look like they are on Lucy's head! HAHA

In front of the beautiful Cinderella castle. Everyone was being so crazy in this picture! And this was before the whole bag of cotton candy!

We rode on splash mountain right after big thunder mountain! Karcie and Lucy were so brave to ride on this! Some how I got dragged into riding in the front!!!! Talk about being soaked!!! I don't think my shorts dried all day!

Karcie and my mom on the flying carpets! They loved this ride! we also went on the dumbo ride and everyone wanted to sit with me! Lets just say that didn't go well for Lucy!

This was Vera's first roller coaster! She was so nervous but so brave!  I was made to ride by myself! Can you believe it? Vera loved it and wanted to ride it again but the line wait was like an hour for a 30 second ride!

Just finished with Vera's new favorite roller coaster! Karcie looked like she loved it!

Karcie was sitting and waiting for the fireworks! She was so excited! Her reaction was so cute!

Karcie didn't look away the whole time the fireworks were going! She loved them so much!
Day 1 at Disney was a success! Everyone had a great time! Everyone was so hyper that night.... especially Vera! She didn't stop laughing the whole night! I think she was fighting sleep! HAHA
Day 2 had begun! So excited to have another magical day! That day was a HOT one! Where was splash mountain when I needed it?! Oh yeah I know, it was behind an hours worth of people!

Selfie time with CUTE Lucy! We were trying so hard to take this picture fast because the sun was shining right in poor Lucy's eyes!

About to go spinning in the teacups! I was kind of wishing I had gone with Ruthie and Mom because those kids spun that teacup like a tornado! I thought I was going to be sick!
We were walking to go meet Minnie mouse when one of the Incredibles talked to us! She shouted out at me that she like my style! Which was kind of weird because me and my sister were wearing the same thing!!

We were off to meet some characters! Karcie loved Minnie Mouse so much! She couldn't wipe that cute smile off of her face!

Minnie mouse was a hugger! Unlike me.....

All of the littles with princess Tiana! I love Vera's face in this picture!! HAHA! So cute!

Karcie and I with princess Tiana! I think she might be my new favorite princess! She didn't even try to hug me!! HA

Karcue talking to princess Rapunzel! Karcie was so excited! I think meeting the princesses was her favorite part!

Look at that cute little smile! she loves Rapunzel!

All of the cousins with Cinderella! I don't think Vera looks to happy!! HA! I love it!

Us talking to princess Elena! Vera was rolling her eyes the whole time saying that all Elena ever talks about was sister time! She's a trip!!
Karcie and Lucy talking to Alice! They asked her to ride the teacups with them but she said she gets too dizzy! I'm with ya sister!

Our Disney trip had come to an end! We had so much fun with our cousins and couldn't wait to come back again! Now for that long 8 hour car ride back home! YAY. *that was sarcastic if you couldn't tell*

Apex Visitors

Evidently 4.5hrs wasn't far enough. I wasn't sure how much the Apex team would travel. But less than 2 months in I realize I may have underestimated them. I'm checking on lake property around Atlanta.

Hilton Head Group Vacay

This is the second straight year the 2x Terrys, 2x Carters and Potters met up at HHI for a long weekend. It is a stark contrast from 15-20 years ago when this group would get together for a long weekend. Back then, it was 8 to a hotel, late night bars, late morning wake up calls, sun tans, and lady watching. Now it is 5 condos, in bed by 8pm, up at 6am, gallon of sunscreen, kid wrangling, life guarding, body surfing, shell/shark teeth collecting and naptime breaks. Some things are the same though. Lots of lies, laughs, music, reminiscing, and memory making. Ill take that over the late night bars for sure. It takes effort to line up schedules, but it is worth it. Each year the kids get more independent and the adults get to hang out more. One day these kids might even be in charge of driving us to the local bar.

While there, we have the obligatory beach time. We also make it to a restaurant. That is an adventure when the kids out number the adults. We cook out at the park. That's a lot smarter than the restaurant idea. Matthew and I snuck off for an fishing trip. It is rare we get to hang out just the 2 of us. It is what it is. On this fishing day, we caught numerous 15+lb Red Fish plus various other species. It was a bit rocky out there and Matthew had to take a few short breaks. It was a great day at sea. Great weekend on the island with old pals.
