First Bath in Baby Tub

Kamdyn had her first bath in her baby tub on Saturday, June 3rd. Daddy decided that he would bathe her while I assisted. Kamdyn loves taking a bath. When the warm water touches her, she loses her breath. It is so cute!! And, we LOVE those hooded towels. She smiles from ear to ear when we wrap her up after her bath.

May 2006

May was another eventful month. On May 10th, 2006, Aunt Kathy and Uncle Jim came to visit Kamdyn. They brought Kamdyn the cutest stuffed elephant. His name is Gregory. Kamdyn loves looking at his bright colors! Thanks Aunt Kathy and Uncle Jim!

Kamdyn's first visit to Powdersville and her first out-of-town visit was Mother's Day weekend. We had such a great time staying with Nanny and Papa. We also enjoyed our Mother's Day celebration at Mama Lucy's house with everyone. My first Mother's Day was so special. It is so hard to believe that I am a Mommy! What a wonderful feeling!!! I LOVE IT!

April 17-30

Daddy had to leave us to go to Germany for work the week of April 17th, 2006. The night before he left was when Kamdyn started her colicky nights. Unfortunately, we didn't know that those crying "episodes" would last for FIVE weeks. What was that I said about us having the easiest baby? Of course, she was still perfect, she just cried A LOT! The worse part of it was that there was nothing we could do to comfort her.

We also had many visitors during this time.

Shannon and Allison came to visit us on Friday, April 21, 2006.

Who knew that The Tiger made home visits? Kamdyn was only 4 weeks old and was already having her picture taken with the Clemson Tiger. The best Tiger ever, Jon Potter, blessed us with his presence on Saturday, April 22, 2006.

We enjoyed his visit!

Uncle Matthew came to see Kamdyn again, too. He couldn't believe how much she had grown in four short weeks!

Carrie, Potter's girlfriend, came to visit.. Potter's parents came to visit, too. Wow, what an eventful weekend we had!

April 3-16

Kamdyn's first two weeks were sort of uneventful aside from sleepless nights filled with feedings every two hours. When she wasn't eating, she was sleeping. She never fussed or cried. We thought we had the easiest baby in the world! We couldn't understand why everyone complains about how hard a new baby is. Boy were we in for some big surprises!!!

Kamdyn's First Easter was when she was two weeks old. Since Kamdyn was so tiny when she was born, we didn't have a Preemie Easter dress for her. However, we did dress her up in this adorable Bunny hat and booties. She even smiled for us!!! We couldn't believe that she was smiling at two weeks!!

Kamdyn's Birth

We were so excited about the arrival of Kamdyn. My water broke three weeks early! Little did we know how quickly she would arrive when we got to the hospital at 5:00 am. We called the family so they could drive to Augusta, GA. Luckily, all of them made it just in time. At 10:50 am she was here!

Kamdyn came home from the hospital on Monday, April 3, 2006, our 2nd wedding anniversary. We were so excited and nervous all at the same time.! What were we going to do with this new little bundle of joy? We loved her so much already. My Mom was able to stay with us the first three weeks. I'm not sure we would have made it without her. We could never thank her enough!
