Going to School with Mommy

Mrs. Georgia brought Kamdyn to my school today around 3:30. We had a teacher workday and I still had a little bit of work left to do. After taking Kamdyn around to visit a few of my coworkers, I had to find something for Kamdyn to do while I finished my work. In a room full of toys that shouldn't be that difficult. However, I am germaphobic! So, I found a shaker, bells, and a ball. I viciously scrubbed all of them with a wet wipe before giving them to her. Against my better judgement, I put her in the middle of the rug and let her play! She had such a good time "making music." It was fun to sit back and watch her. She doesn't sit and play very often anymore because she always wants to walk. But, with a new environment and different toys, she was completely occupied. Yes, I had to take some pictures! Mommy's don't go anywhere without their cameras!! :)

Na-Na comes for a Weekend Visit

Kamdyn always loves having visitors. After Mama Lucy left on Friday, Na-Na arrived! We had a great time with Na-Na here. We went all over Augusta on Saturday with Na-Na. Little did we know until we finally stopped to eat lunch and feed Kamdyn that we had left Kamdyn's diaper bag at home. We had to feed Kamdyn half of our lunch. She had to drink tea from our cup and we had to buy some diapers and wipes at Babies R Us! I can honetly say that this was a first and a last!! Kamdyn did great because she didn't know the difference. I, however, was lost without my "toolbox!"

Kamdyn is doing so many new things and she got to show all of her new accomplishments to Na-Na. She can bark like a dog. She can point to eyes and say "eyes." She can shake her head furiously to say, "No, No!" She can give you five. She can walk all the way across a room. She can pull herself up. She can finally get herself up from lying down to a sitting position. (This has made bedtime a little bit tricky these days! As soon as you lay her down, she pops back up!)

Here are some pics of Na-Na giving her a bath! We use her baby bathtub, but Na-Na likes to use the kitchen sink because it saves your back! :)

First Valentine's Day

Kamdyn got her first Valentine's Day card on Friday (2/9) from our dear friend in New York, Jessica. It was so precious! (Thanks, Jess! You have remembered Kamdyn every holiday since she has been born. You are such a sweetie!) Here is Kamdyn "reading" her card. She loved the baby on the front of the card! Thanks to the rest of you who sent her a Valentine's Day Card, too! Jessica's was the first she got which is why I mentioned it!

Kamdyn got the best gift of all for Valentine's Day. Mama Lucy was here! I had to go out of town to Atlanta on Monday and Tuesday for PreK training. Mama Lucy had to come and help Da-Da while I was gone! Kamdyn hadn't seen Mama Lucy since Christmas and boy, were they both excited to see each other!!!

This is Kamdyn as she opened her Valentine's Presents. You would have though it was Christmas again!

Just Because.....

These are some pics that I took just because.......

Sometimes she just looks so precious, I can't resist!

The flash didn't work on this one of Kamdyn and Da-Da,
but I thought it was adorable none the less!! Kamdyn
seems to start smiling as soon as the camera is turned on!!

Poppy

Poppy came and spent the week with me and Kamdyn this past week. He was working here in Augusta. It just do happened that Richard had to be out of town this week, too. So, Poppy came and stayed with us. Kamdyn LOVED it!! It also made things a little easier for me because Poppy could entertain Kamdyn while I was getting some things accomplished. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures while he was here! Most of my pictures are taken on the weekend when my brain isn't on overload from trying to juggle work, Mommy, wifey, etc. So, I apoligize, Poppy! These are some pics of the two of them prior to this week. They will have to do for now!

Turns out that Kamdyn couldn't really help Poppy on his new computer. I, however, spent lots of time trying to help him. He is learning! It's just taking him a little bit of time. I created him some "cheat sheets" to help him each night when he is completing his work. I hope it helps!! God Bless You, Mama!!! :) I love you, Daddy, but it's tough to teach an old dog new tricks!!!

Visits with Grand

Grand came to visit Kamdyn weekend before last and we went down to visit Grand the next weekend. It was good to see her since none of us had seen her since Christmas. Kamdyn, of course, thoroughly enjoyed herself!. She especially enjoyed visiting Grand at her house. Grand has lots of fun stuff to see in her house. Kamdyn wanted to get in to all of it. Kamdyn learned how to turn the light switch on and off while she was there. Thank goodness she can't reach the switches by herself yet because all of the lights in our house would constantly be turning on and off. She tries to get the light switches every time she passes them while we are holding her. She is a mess!!

Computer Baby

We forsee another Uncle Matthew (computer wizard) in the family. Kamdyn really likes our computers. Perhaps she's just trying to figure out what keeps our attention on these crazy things. She sees Richard and me on each of our laptops nightly! Yes, we are Internet Junkies!! She is always trying to get to us so she can bang on the keyboard. She acts like she knows what she is doing. Look at our little grown angel standing up in front of the couch playing on the computer. I can't believe that she is ready to walk! It just doesn't seem like it's time yet.

Visit from Kathy and Brandi

When we go home we are always so rushed. It is always difficult trying to attend our events and find time for everyone to see little Kamdyn. This time, our dear friends, Kathy and Brandi, were able to come by for a visit. They hadn't seen Kamdyn since she was about 8 or 9 weeks old. She was in her colicky stage then! Brandi somehow managed to lull her to sleep with a baby voice that night. I was ready to take Brandi home with me so I could get some crying relief. You never knew when Kamdyn would stop crying. It usually was more than 2-3 hours a night. Enough to make you CRAZY!!! This visit was much better.

Her personality when they visited this time was quite different. She was such a little ham. It took her a little while to warm up to them, but she hardly meets a stranger. She was in love with them before they left. She had such a great time with them. They even got to see her get a bath! It was so great to see both of them! They have been such great friends to my Mom and me over the years. I don't know what we would do without them! We love you, Kathy and Brandi!!! We wish we got to see you more!
